In other news, according to Yves Matton, if Citroen leaves WTCC there will be only 2 private C-Elysee left on the grid from 2017 for SLR

But I don't see why they should leave just now that a great manufacturer like volvo entered officially in wtcc. |

Now they have 5 cars and even if they leave wtcc I think they could let on the grid all the actual 5 cars!!! Got it? |

I have another guess. I think, if Loeb somehow wins in 2016, it would be very likely that he Citroen leaves. If not, it is a tough decision. With the arrival of Volvo and a possible brand new car from Honda I doubt some privately entered Citroens will have an easy ride for the title in 2017. And I think Loeb does not want to give up this challenge. It would be a retreat and he does not like things like that. I know he said he can drive in his own team, but do you think he can have a shoot in 2017 against factory cars from Volvo, Honda and Lada? |

But i am agree with you, it would be a shame that they leave now and worse if they only left 2 cars... |

Actually I have a lot of doubts about the Honda project in WTCC and Lada proves nothing with the new Vesta yet. S. Loeb Team with 2 car, with a big sponsor and with a second winning driver would be a menace in my opinion |

It's a shame we don't have this sort events anymore. Okay there's Race of Champions but would rather see a real car or kart race.

Robert Kubica is making noises that he will be doing something different to rallying next year. He has not said anything more than that - but surely a WTCC drive would suit someone of his stature.
Just throwing this out there. Probably 2+2=5. |

More points for Race TWO? Someone had a brain fade or what? Ok, (trying to think it over seriously) probably means no reversed grid, and tweaks to qualifying next year. |

We are all looking forward to hearing the names of next year Honda's line up! I do not think that Taquini is slower. When he is focused and his car is not giving him problems, he is just as fast as Monteiro. He doesn't have to worry about if he is fast enough, but just fitting together all the pieces of the puzzle. Age doesn't help and Ribeiro said it before.

I'd like race 2 to be longer and give more points.
Now I wonder what will they do in race 1 to move the Citroëns back. |

Just imagine Lopez would have been caught in the melley in recent Race 1 in Shanghai. Then there is another problem. Longer races may be good and more serious but on the other hand I'm afraid that under TC1 regulations it will turn into a complete boredom. Especially with Citroens at front. Keep it as it is. It works just fine |

well i think that manufactures are pushing to get more visibility on tv so i guess they would prefer a longer race in second manche.
i dont think it's a bad idea we have just to find the right compromise of point system from race 1 to race 2. imho id like this changes: qualifying: Q1 and pass to Q2 just the first 10 drivers. Q2 one lap to each driver from tenth to first and gets points just the first 3 drivers: 5-3-1 race 1 sprint 65km in the morning: 20-15-12-10-8-6-4-3-2-1 to the first ten drivers. race 2 endurance 110km in the afternoon: 40-30-24-20-16-12-8-6-4-2 and complete reverse grid compared to Q2 standings moreover id like to make change of tyres compulsory with the possibility to driver to decide if change just 2 tyres (fron tyres or left/right side) or all 4 tyres. in this way even for those drivers who departe from the last row of the grid there would be opportunity to recover positions. i dont think the costs would increase because the only modification to make should be to the tank. |

i dont think they will pay to get a set in more of yokohama at each race 2 as i dont think they have to go to gas station to make full gasoline before each race!! and about the engine there is already the rule that every car has to use one engine for the whole championship otherwise there will be penalty of 10 position! |

I don't know how it's working in WTCC but in FIM Endurance Championship, the teams must paid for fuel at a fixed price higher than the regular, and also for tyres.

If you want to make the rules more serious - give more points for qualifying, give more points for Race 1, permit more cars into Q2. Changes are ought to make racing more exciting, not duller |
