it always ends up being a bad day for RML. last race was a minor exception. (because they had 2 pro drivers in one car) but they still only ended up finishing 8th!

The 360 had 20kg of balast, and Massen said:"They are so quick that even without the weight, we wouldn't have a chance to win the race" talking how ferrari is faster then porsche.
And here is a quote from ortely two races back:" It's a bit frightening, though, because the Ferrari is a brand new car and they didn't really test so far - and now they've managed to score their first pole position after two very strong podiums" So for the first part of the championship ferrari was underdeveloped, now I bet it will take, if nothing unexpected hapens, allmost every race forward. Like they did after spa last year |

Congrats to Konrad for Saleen, they really deserved it! And the same for GPC in N-GT!
Let's hope the season continues like this! |

At least a Saleen team has found a bit of reliability; two wins so far, more, I suspect, to follow... but then the Vitaphone car is the only Saleen with a solid driver line-up. If only Ray Mallock would put Erdos and Goodwin together!

GNM Saleen Brno report
Hi GT fans
For those interested, I just wanted to let you all know how we (Graham Nash Motorsport-GNM) got along at Brno yesterday for the FIA GT. We went into the race having made some minor improvements to the car after Hockenheim where we ran strongly only for a rear upright to fail. This was due to a bad flat-spot created when Paolo had to avoid another car. Anyway back to Brno. I drafted in Belgian Anthony Kumpen having worked with him at Belmondo (2001) and Carsport Holland (2002). He knew the track well and settled into the Saleen very quickly. We were the 3rd fastest car all weekend, just shy of the Vitaphone S7 and lead BMS car. In the warm-up we were second and set a great time on the first lap, with full tanks. Everything was great until at the end of the first lap Paolo (not Anthony as reported on here somewhere) was squeezed out when braking on the racing line. He did a remarkable job to get the car through the gravel. We nearly brought him in but decided to see what would occur for a few laps. He did a fantastic stint - consistently quick, and got us back up to 10th before handing over to Luca (Ardizzone). We were equal fastest all weekend in pit stops (equal with Freisinger). Luca did a good job but we had dropped to 2.06 laps from 2.01's - and when he handed to Anthony we were 16th again. AK did a great job with tired brakes and suffering from collecting loads of pick-up on the tyres when passing backmarkers. He managed to get up to 11th, then the Bobbi/Gardel ferrari ran out of fuel and we moved up to 10th. Not a bad result but so not reflective of the weekend. We were disappointed but pleased to have finished trouble-free virtually. the lads did a fantastic job in preparing the car. we dont have the nearly the amount of money of most of our rivals but we are consistently beating them. We will be working towards a big effort for Donington, the next round. I will try and find time to add another report between then and now, but i will check the forum too. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me here or via my email - mimsport@hotmail.com cheers |

Hi Paul
Will do my best to fit this in with preparations for racing. Interesting to see you are at Mosport. We hope to do a few races in ALMS this year but not sure we can fit it all in what with the away-day FIA races in Dubai and Zhuhai. Thanks for the reply and I will stay in touch. |

Welcome manager55, good to see you here.
A quick question, will you be competing in the forthcoming LMES events. Good luck for Donnigton, should be a great race with the Lamborghinis appearing. Last edited by JAG; 31 May 2004 at 19:56. |

Hi and thanks. Yes, we will do all LMES races. The Lambo's will be a good addition. I dont think you will see the Maserati's just yet...

To Simon C:
Hi Simon C - Well as much as I 'like' the Lister I think I wont be calling Laurence! I think Ian Bickerton is doing a fantastic job with the Creation Lister. I hope we get a good crowd at Donington. Its our home race and we are looking to get a good finish there. cheers |
