I think this is a case of mis-understanding of an English way of saying things. "out to get" is more likely that everyone is out to beat them, rather than trying to destroy them. "Gunning for us" is the same. I'd hardly believe that anyone would want to purposely destroy someone. Least of all a factory team... |

I've got to go with Tom on this one, those comments from "sources" are totally from left-field and I'd be interested to know who his "sources" are and where they got their information from.

I'd think that Audi have been having a development R8 chassis with and R10 motor in it pounding around for the better part of a year, at least. The rumour of them going diesel has been out for at least that long, so if they were/are going to do it, they'd be clocking development up as much as possible.
I would also think that the cancellation of the Audi DTM press conference has also got something to do with whatever they're mainstream plans are for 06/07 and beyond. |

So the VAG boss got drunk and started telling secrets about the R10? And which source is that from? Johnnie Walker, or Jack Daniel's??!

Wonder if the quesion marks over the DTM program could open the door for an increased Audi presence in the ALMS.
Maybe two R10s from Sebring onwards? |

Send Audi an e-mail...I'm sure that they would want to consult with you to get your extensive expertise before unveiling the new car... |

I guess there's no chance that the car will be anything less than perfectly reliable then. Two years.... were the LMP1 and diesel rules set in stone back then? |

' I am very surprized that it has taken so long for the new cars to be built though.'
But in the end its probably been for the best, teams have had time to make the correct decisions, and manufactuers have had the time to design a good car. Hopefully there'll be no repeats of uncompetitive customers cars as we saw with the early Lola, Reynard and Riley LMP900s. |

Well it looks like we are only going to have to wait until the December 13th. I have just seen on DSC that Audi will revealed there new prototype in Paris, only 22 days to wait now folks.
