This seems to be the final schedule of Asia F2.0
18-20/04 Shanghai Round 1 16-18/05 Sepang Round 2 20-22/06 Sepang Round 3 25-27/07 Zhuhai Round 4 12-14/09 Cheng Du Round 5 03-05/10 Beijing Round 6 21-23/11 Shanghai Round 7 it's a mix of events with AFOS and CFO, seems a perfect match |

AFOS can put Formula Renault 2.0 on Star Sports in Asia. FRD cannot.
I also heard that FRD never registered the Asian Formula Challenge with FIA. i.e. They only got the races sanctioned but not the entire championship, in order to save money. Last edited by Asa; 10 Mar 2008 at 07:33. |

what does it change if the Championship is sanctionned by FIA or not?
is A1Gp a FIA championship? Why cannot FRD get Star Sport TV? |

Few posts earlier it was written that both championship will run basicly on the same tracks with maybe the possibility to go twice to Sepang for the "New" Championship So i do not see why this new championship would "interest"more Star Sport than FRD Championship? |

So if you are interested to find a sponsor or two to help you race in Formula Renault in Asia, AFOS with properly sanctioned championships and Star Sports coverage should be a better deal. |

afos is a profesional race organisation and every body is interested to be part of those races, porsche and bmw are there not by mistake.
new renault series be part of the afos package is a ticket to enter in the starsports tv. frd coverage is just china terristrial tv and asia is bigger than china and the official support from Renault Sport Technology isnt a garanty of nothing because frd and renault sport have been working closely since the begining of the series and renault sport hadnt balls to stop frd cheating. its not now they are gonna do! |

all teams will be switch from FRD's AFR championship to AFOS/CFO's FR2.0Asia only FRD themselves and their satalie team PSR will stay. However first AFR event this weekend you won't see too big different from last year because serval Zhuhai based team would like to use this race for pratice, despite they will join AFOS |

A1GP is an FIA sanctioned series. It just doesn't fit in the traditional ladder progression into F1 and operates as an 'alternative' commercial series to F1. Technically not directly competing with F1. Never will. |

Jim Ka To has won the first race ahead of Geoffry Kwong and Ryan Hayranto. Actually Jim Ka To's car has stopped due to a puncture on lap 9, but a red flag was shown due to his car being in a "dangerous" position, so the race was counted back to lap 8.
