Yeah .... i remember a few years back , Barron Connor had issues with the American custons and a lot of their spares arrived late . That shouldnt happen at all but , it did .
Maybe a bit short of time now , shame !!! |

I used to deal with shipping gear for some of the biggest rock bands on the planet, and even with that kind of cred it was always a roll of the dice as to whether customs clearance would be quick or not. If it were to leave today, the works car could be at Sebring in time for first practice, assuming space was available on flights. But if customs got a bee in their bonnet it could delay arrival by 3 or 4 days. That's too big a risk given the expense involved.

My productions, If that means anything: Ok my $5 on the table.
P1 and AUDI P2 will be a good battle. I think reak race will be with the Penske Porsches, ( Overall team strength) the Dyson Porsche ( Great car, and experinced drivers, and the Horag Racing Lola, ( experinced drivers ) and a Penske Porsche with overall win. I dont think the Accuras will be that close at the end THIS year. The car is too new, and Sebring also favors drivers who have raced there many time before. P1 #4 Corvette P2 My choice for the Win is #62 Risi Competizione Ferrari F430 GT (Salo, Melo, Mowlem) Experice on all levels, team drivers and the 430 has been raced and developed enough. with the #45 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche 997, team expericne will over come the NEW car shortfalls. and the #21 Panoz Team PTG Panoz Esperante in third. I think we will see many 997s fall to the side do to NEW car challanges. and some of the F430s do to NEW team to Sebring challanges. I think all the Panoz will finsh very high do to the experinced and well race proven cars AND teams. The Panoz may not be the fastest cars, but realiblity is very good. |

Down to 34 cars. The #11 Konrad Porsche 997 is no longer on the list, its sistercar #10 still is.

Will the times from todays and tomorrows test sessions be made public?
I'm not surprised by the 2nd Konrad entry being of the list. Drivers were always TBA, and I guess he didn't find anyone who wanted to race it. I think the second car was a 996 anyway, so competitiveness would have been an issue as well... |

Taken from the ALMS site
After winning in each of its eight times out in 2006 – including Sebring and Le Mans – the diesel-powered R10 TDI of defending race winners Rinaldo Capello, Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen was quickest at 1:45.308. The time is already a half second under the race qualifying record. The sister car of Emanuele Pirro, Marco Werner and Frank Biela was next at 1:46.082. The five fastest LMP2 cars all were under the current class qualifying mark, led by the first of Dyson Racing's Porsche RS Spyders of Butch Leitzinger, Andy Wallace and Andy Lally at 1:46.703. They were followed by Penske Racing's Porsche of Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Helio Castroneves. Porsche prototypes took the top three spots over their class rivals from Acura. The top Acura-powered team was the Andretti Green Racing entry of Bryan Herta, Dario Franchitti and Tony Kanaan (1:47.671). They were less than 0.3 seconds of the Lowe's Fernandez Racing car of Adrian Fernandez, Luis Diaz and David Martinez. The GT1 battle between Corvette and Aston Martin appears as if it will as close this week as it was last season. Team Modena's DBR9 was the quickest car in class at 1:59.110 with Corvette Racing's two Corvette C6.Rs within 0.09 seconds. Ferraris dominated GT2 as the Italian marque's F430 GT held the top three positions. Risi Competizione's Ferrari of Jamie Melo, Mika Salo and Johnny Mowlem were quickest at 2:02.159, nearly a half second under the track qualifying record. The Corsa Motorsports/White Lightning Racing entry of Rui Aguas and Maurizio Mediani were a half second back, just ahead of the Petersen/White Lightning Ferrari of Tomas Enge, Tim Bergmeister and Memo Gidley. The best Porsche in the morning session was the Rahal Letterman Racing car of Ralf Kelleners and Tom Milner, nearly a second back of the Risi Ferrari. |

Anybody else thinking that the Dyson porsche, if the spyders dont break, has a better shot to win then the Penskes? Seems like the Dyson lineup would favor them winning even though its their first race in the new car.

This is shapeing up to be a great battle !!!
Who is showing Sebring on TV for Europe ? Is it motors or have they got the deal again ? I really hope that Dyson will show up the Penske boys and it would be great to see Team Modena throwing a shape at Corvette !!! But , i'd like a Porsche win in GT2 ..... Oh , and the 2 Audi's to take each other out for long enough that the Creation would win ..... dream on !!! |

I reckon the RS Spyders will be a fair match against each other . Nothing that would make me think one has something over the other apart from 1 of the Dyson cars has only 2 drivers .
Why do Dyson do that , have 3 in 1 and 2 in the other for the past few years ? Which Weaver was back for just the enduros !!! |

crap, the intersport creation is looking pretty slow so far to say the least, hopefully they can pick up the pace and pull their finger out and get knockin heads with the audi R10's.
