They were checking MOT certificates last year. I remember it well, that's why I couldn't use my car.

But I also heard from someone else who attended, that my car would have been too loud to go round anyway, because they were checking noise levels too (V6 with big exhaust). Not totally sure if that was true though.

I just hope it doesn't rain, it was a nice day last year but did rain a bit from mid afternoon.

Obviously you would be expected to comply with the circuit noise levels, that goes for all track days.

It was a nick name I got during a Rallycross Meeting at Anglsey. I wore a T-Shirt saying 'Twin Airbags fitted as Standard' across my chest.

The Clerk of the Course, got rather embarrassed when people noticed he took a while to read the message!!!!

Sorry, and I was thinking this is why you did not have an MoT!! Ah well!!
I have noticed that Clerks do have occasions when they take a little time to read reports!!!

It's good to see you back on ten-tenths Twin Airbags!

I will be having the suspension geometry checked on my scooby on the monday, only because the car has been lowered and I dont want the insides of the tyres wearing away too quickly! Especially with me driving down to Cadwell!

Bring it on!

Lets clear this up now, MSV do not ask for MOT certificates only your driving licence.

Just to clear up another little bit of confusion.......

As I understand it, these MSV track days are available to ALL marshals, not just car marshals, so presumably an ACU or Racesafe licence would be acceptable?

Yes thats right Dave. As long as you can prove you are a marshal thats what matters.

I have had to d this to make sure we dont get any 'outsiders' slide into our days and with marshals coming long distances for the track days, the local guys don't always know who they are if you get my meaning.

I have managed to move things around, so I will be able to make the trackday after all, but I don't think I will be pushing my car that much. Not with my track record anyway.

Do I just need to turn up at the circuit or do I need any tickets?

Mark

I think steady will me an understatement for me.

I'm going to try and set a new lap record. The SLOWEST car around Cadwell.

It would be quite helpful if you e-mailed me so that I can amend the paperwork! The address is s.c.green@btinternet.com

You will NOT be able to just turn up, you will need to be on my list of authorised marshals ok.

There's a challenge, I'm not sure how my auto gearbox will cope with the mountain, so hopefully will make up time on the straights

ps Advance weather forecast for next week is - studded tyres allowed???

The LR wouldn't make it to the top of our street at moment, let alone across Lincolnshire. I'll take my chance with the auto (unless a taxed and tested good runner shows up on ebay for £50 in the next day or two)

Best laid plans of spending this week off work fixing a few of the problems went out of the windw due to it being too cold/wet/windy/all three together. Oh well, wait till summer

You expecting better weather then, Al?
This what I like to see an optimist.
I would have thought owning a Land Rover as old as yours, you would be used to it being cold, wet & windy.
