Is there a regulation for the maximum time allowed for an investigation? Who will police the stewards? I vote for Vettel.

Maybe they are waiting for the crowd to disperse. If they rule against Max, the Stewards wouldn't want their office attacked by the Orange Army.

It can be. Because it is.
https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/a...hGG6oYkZs.html The race director may report any on-track incident or suspected breach of these SportingRegulations or the Code (an “Incident”) to the stewards. After review it shall be at thediscretion of the stewards to decide whether or not to proceed with an investigation. |

You can't take anything away from Max – it was a fantastic performance and a great race. Just what was needed after the French farce. However... Max took a massively wide line into the corner, didn't go anywhere near the apex and left Charles nowhere to go. No F1 driver will brake in a situation like that, for heaven's sake. You have to give each other room (like Lando and Lewis on lap 1 in the same place). It will be hugely controversial if they rule in Charles's favour and hand him the race. But the basic rules have to apply. If they rule for Max, I'll equally feel gutted for Charles – his was a brilliant drive too.

No further action.
There are endurance races that take less time than it took the stewards to announce no penalty. |

He took a wider line because he braked later and on the inside. |

you obviously never raced yourself, otherwise you would know exactly what I'm saying.
the racing line is outside, inside- outside but since Max started on the inside he had a wider line through the rest of the corner, just very simple racing facts. |

I'm not a racer, plz explain. If it is outside-inside-outside, then why did do inside-outside-outside? Why did he not take the racing line?

Ah, so he didn't take the racing line because there was a car there I understand now. Interesting.

A shallow line on entry led to a wider line on exit, as you would naturally expect.
And at some point, track limits seem like a farce anymore. Leclerc was still on pavement, and quite possibly higher-grip stuff than the racetrack itself. I think it was maybe Massa who intentionally took to the paved run-off on the exit of the final corner at Fuji to ensure he held his place on the last lap in the wet at the 2007 Japanese GP. |

Well that was an enormous change from the last race, could not have been better and even the stewards made the right choice i the end. Simply best F1 race for as long as i can remember.

I'll make a note. "Don't put your car where the other car is".

steve, do you know the story of the boy who cried wolf? I think something similar I happening here. Basically someone kept saying something even when it wasn't true so much so that eventually no one took him seriously!
It should be noted that Akrapovic and marcel82 voted for the Max. |

The move was not clean but nothing to throw a penalty for. I expected one after the last few decisions but am happy that they did not.
Still do not like Verstappen's driving style because he did it on purpose and still would have preferred a red win. |

If the other car involved was driven by Hamilton, Max would be P2.
