Also today, Eric Bachelart confirmed that Conquest will be taking up their auto-invite to Le Mans. No driver lineup yet.

IF a McLaren showed up (and we all hope it does) I'd say the lineup would have Bell and Parente in it

DHH won't be with Conquest next year, I believe he is moving from the ALMS to another team for the WEC.

What do you think the possibilities are of seeing a third AMR Vantage? I can see Mucke and Turner returning in the #97. Fernandez said he had other plans, but Simonsen's performance and experience should make him the perfect choice to take Adrian's place. Would Rob Bell be an option for AMR? Matt Bell, Tim Mullen, Phil Quaife, Klaus Hummel, Nico Verdonck, Andy Soucek, Jamie Campbell-Walter, Jack Clarke, etc, could replace him at McLaren if they do indeed come. We probably won't be seeing any Porsche's in GTE-Pro since the development of the 991 GT3 RSR. What about the BMWs? Is there a faint possibility they could try Le Mans. I can't see it at all, since they are just developing the car, but... Finally, could Toyota perhaps go for 3 cars the entire WEC season and 4 for Le Mans? Christian Klein, Jean-Christophe Boullion, Seiji Ara, Takuma Sato, Christian Albers, Jan Charouz, or Julien Jousse are definitely possibilities for that spot, as well as Kobayashi if he leaves F1, which seems ever likely. If I were to put them in order of most to least likely, it would probably be 1) Boullion 2) Ara 3) Klein 4) Albers 5) Sato 6) Charouz 7) Albers 8) Jousse A Boullion, Ara, Klein combo could definitely hold their own amongst the top LMP1 cars. Also, where's Timo Bernhard gone to? What about Alex Premat? Oh, so many choices, so much time. I know I'm trying way too hard, but I'm bored and waiting for the January announcements in Paris. |

I don't keep up with these things, but why on earth would Toyota want a liability like Boullion?

I just started watching Le Mans 2 years ago, and don't follow the WEC too regularly (will next year, though... I just started watching the WEC in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago). What about Christian Klien, Jacques Villeneuve, and Alexandre Premat? All absolute V8 Supercars rejects? Now I'm really going crazy. |

Villeneuve on the other hand is hopeless, I would not have him in either a V8 or a sportscar. |

Premat's pretty slow, and so is Klien... they are always at the back of the pack. Do you guys think Adrian Fernandez will come back to race Le Mans in the Vantage? If so, then we can consider the #97 a Mucke/Turner/Fernandez trio and the #99 perhaps a Simonsen/Poulsen/Rob Bell pro car as well. Or perhaps Maxime Martin replacing Kristian Poulsen as well. In that case, Stuart Hall would replace Maxime Martin at OAK, leaving Roald Goethe and Michael Wainwright with Christoffer Nygaard. There's almost endless possibilities. |

But Fernandez has confirmed he won't be back with Aston in a works capacity and Rob Bell is a McLaren works driver now. |

To be fair to Premat most people seem to acknowledge that you need three seasons to be competitive in V8s, he has shone at times and had a lot of bad look. Look at the races at Winton for example where he was punted off from a promising position.

Well I think the most likely lineup is... #97 (Pro) Mucke/Turner/Simonsen #98 (Am) Goethe/Wainwright/Hall #99 (Am) Nygaard/Poulsen/Vasilyev |

I know that Poulsen's entry is a result on how his business is doing. If everything is good and calm around next year, he'll likely be there. But if there is a decline in sales, and lot's to do, I think it's unlikely we will see him. He will not risk Bankruptcy just to go racing. Unlike another former danish Le Mans Team Participant (Peter Halverson of former Essex Racing) Nygaard will also only participate if he got the time from his full season program next year. However, I do feel he is a future Sportscar driver to be watched. Simonsen will undoubtably be at Le Mans, but at what team, that is the question. Simonsen has never had a "preferred" make or team, so it's likely that he will drive with who offers him a GTE PRO seat first. |

Yeah Ive often wondered why Simonsen doesnt have a works drive with someone. Maybe he makes more money being a freelancer or he likes the flexibility of not being tied down to one manufacturer?

The flexibility and multi-series racing he does, apparently suits him well. And to be honest, he is still "young" so building good connections around the world in many teams secures him a good chance of a Works seat when he gets "old" |

I suggest adding 2 991 GT3 RSR for Porsche AG Team Manthey , as they will be a full time WEC entry . Drivers will be : Marco Holzer, Romain Dumas, Timo Bernhard, Patrick Pilet, Marc Lieb, Richard Lietz and Jörg Bergmeister Wonder will Team Felbermayr have one for Le mans if all goes well ? |

I still think it is highly optimistic putting Audi down for 4 cars.
My guess would be 3 cars. |

I just remembered that about Enge... maybe Maxime Martin or Alexei Vasilyev from Valmon? Cool news from Manthey Racing... I'll put that down in a sec. |
