And the BMW drivers are saying they struggle with their LMS M3 because the American one is built to other rules: GT2S.

It may not be called GT2S officially any more but they may have just rolled that class right into GT2 through waivers for whatever mods teams can make a good excuse for being necessary. The M3s run a modified suspension in the ALMS or have they switched back to LM rules installation?

ALMS M3 runs a transaxle gearbox, a modification allowed under the post-'06 GT2S rules.
I thought the LG Corvette was built up by LG and Riley from a World Challenge car(basically similar to a GT3 car at the time)? |

And that brings the GTC class to 10 entries - which is the stated maximum. Don't know if all the teams for Long Beach are season entries or not.
Also Joel Feinberg is not in the Primetime car this race, anybody know why? Gerardo Bonilla is taking his place, maybe $ related or perhaps Joel is just busy. |

for all those interested the bmw gt2 will not carry 30kg. but 25kg for all the races after sebring
so gt2 class Ferrari 430 4.0l 2*28.6mm2 1245kg, Porsche 997 4.0l 2*28.6mm2 1245kg, Corvette ZR1 5.5l 2*28.8mm2 1270kg, BMW M3 gt2r 4.0l 2*//./mm2 1270kg I don;t know the restrictor size for the bmw is it ACO 28.6 or IMSA's last year 29+ |

Are there any GT2 cars running under 1200kg in ACO spec? Furthermore, if the ACO do run a single GT2 class, is there anything stopping them cutting each cars minimum weight by 50kg-100kg? |

Last year Ferrari was the only one that ran 1145kg and lower power and tire size, also porsche ran last tear gt1 tires only in the back while this year they are running front and back. since every one is running same weigth rules, the ACO can lower the minimum weigt, but that would simpl make gt2 cars even fasster and from what i can figure out the aco wants to keep gt2 over 4min at le mans!!!, in 2008 some porsches and ferrari roke that barrier, and in 2009 aco add 20kg and 5% restrictor reduction witch is smart in my opinion! it gives smaller factories a chance to make competitive cars |

I really looking forward to this. The break seemed longer than a month. The ALMS has always shown well and drawn nice crowds at LB. After Sebring I am a fan of the new product as well.
