Good pictures there. It was a shame the 'stang went home but it suffered brake problems.

And now, the HTCC / TDT - got a bit carried away with lots of photos of lovely touring cars - featuring among others Messrs Mallett, Rowley, Clarke and a certain orange Escort familiar round these parts ...

Nice work David. I'm very partial to wheel waving shots. No argument about shutter speeds "making things look like they are standing still" when wheels are waving in the air! The R5 looked like it had been embattled at some point ... |

Thanks - IIRC correctly the R5 was late out at the start. Drivers side was fine, passenger's side had clearly had an exciting qualifying ...
Having first attended the Gold Cup as a small boy in short trousers in the 60's, this year was the first time I had walked down as far as Brittens. If you can avoid the fencing, there are some nice photos to be had down there. |

The passengers side was fine in qualifying it just had an (extremely) exciting first corner...! After a couple of pit stops and a quick adjust of the front toe, I had an enjoyable last 2/3rds of the race. Even managed to give Iain a wave! There was some enthusiastic defending which I decided it wasn't worth risking the other side for when we were at least a lap down...did get by the Golf eventually though! |

Enjoyed both days even if Sunday was 'interesting' weather wise. My little boys coped admirably and never stopped asking questions, which unless it was to do with a saloon car, I couldn't answer!!
Great mix of shapes and sounds and a weekend ticket at 30 quid i think was the best value ticket of the year for me? Good to see you Peter and Ken. In the Paddock, Peter was telling us to keep away because of his cold (ahh the old excuses book!) Both cars sounded tremendous though. Credit to Ken's outfit. Chevron celebration event was lovely on Monday, as was the March Can-Am car going very quickly in Calum Lockie's hands. HSCC Touring Cars featured many good battles too, in the first race the Mini, Cortina. Imp Anglia scrap was very entertaining. On a separate note I understand the JD Bastos Vitesse has been sold, so hopefully we will see it out in the new owners hands very soon. |

Final Album up now on Flickr - the Chevron B6-B8 race.
https://flic.kr/s/aHskHaNVx9 As I have suggested elsewhere - perhaps the perfect small sports car ... Thanks for the positive comments. |
