Don't forget the Toyota GT1, although I don't think there were many road versions built (there was at least one I think, so we can count it as a 'Supercar' as well as a race car )

From an emotional perspective I'd say Italy. From an intellectual perspective I'd say Germany. For performance/dollar/euro I'd say the US. For terms of stellar handling I'd say the UK. Japan is known for many things, but unalloyed, unadulturated, analogue driving pleasure seems to reside in the Honda Type R cars only.

Neil C said it right- No Soul, The japanese with the Z cars and the skylines, the supras and what not 2000gt, all have the right stuff on paper but no soul, the germans as great as I find them have less of one, the UK is soulful but still italy wins bya small margin, the US well Vette and Viper with an occasional win here and there doesn't have it either, although Lotus really excites me, and TVR, and ...

Of the Japanese cars only the NSX Type R and the lowly FF Platform ITR have any "soul". The new rally-bred cars do "hava a glint in their eye", but they lack something - maybe steering feel - in their clinical methodology of simply destroying corners and short straights. I'd still have one though...
