And Mr Guy, assuming you sort that ol' Sunbeam of yours, I'm up for a few tours! The seat will be bolted down, won't it?

My major problem is I don't have a spare race seat! I'm trying to find someone with a spare seat but most of them appear to be already installed in a car! Sorry to disappoint folks.

For those of you who aren't on the mailing list, here's the press release with all the info:

For immediate release

November 10, 2000

PEARSON SET FOR SNETTERTON CHARITY DAY

Elf Clio Renaultsport UK Cup front-runner, Rick Pearson and his Mark Fish Motorsport team-mate, Paul Lomax will be on hand at Snetterton next weekend, giving circuit rides in Lomax’s race-going ActiveShop Clio in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Last time out at Snetterton, Pearson claimed his first pole position of the season with a best lap time of 1:18.343s. He went on to finish the race- the inaugural Clio Cup night meeting- in second place and will be looking forward to returning to the Norfolk track. "It's a lovely opportunity to help charity and thank a few of the people who supported us over the year, from the avid supporters and the people who have followed my weekly column at 10 Tenths down to the mechanics who have orked the hours ensuring we have safe and reliable race cars each time we take to the track," Pearson says.

The Snetterton Charity Day is an annual two-day event, organised by Brands Hatch Leisure. Representatives from club racing up to the TOCA championships are invited to take part in the weekend, the second day of which is open to the general public. All proceeds are donated to the named charity. In addition to the Clio Sport 172 of Lomax and Pearson, guests will have the opportunity to view the 1.95 mile circuit from a host of racing-spec machines, including TVR’s and Jaguars.

Both Lomax and Pearson will take the wheel of the ActiveShop Clio between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Although there will be no charge for invited guests, passengers are encouraged to make a donation to the British Heart Foundation.

A limited number of passenger slots are available to members of the media who wish to experience a lap of the circuit first-hand. For further details, contact Rebecca Appleton (mobile: 07719 148402), e-mail rebecca.a@ntlworld.com before Wednesday 15th November.

<Ends>

Admit it, she has a way with words!

Sadly there appear to be some misconceptions:

1. If U scream or swear or request the driver to slow down

You will not be heard above the noise of the torturing of 2 litres of Renaults finest...

2. If Woody TJ isn't there.

It's all off.

Move the wedding!!!

The only screams you'll hear from me are "Woohoo!"

Okay, thanks to Sparky for requesting a slot. I haven't been online much to keep up with this forum.

From what I can gather, this is how session 3 is looking - apologies if I have missed anyone off:

1. Sparky
2. Craig
3. Maisie
4. Chris (better half goes first, Chris )
5. ME!!!!!!
6. No takers yet.

Does that sum it up?

I think we should rename session 3 the "Ten-Tenths" slot

Many thanks Rick. I'm sure we will ALL give some money to charity!

Lord Danielsun of the NetherReaches would like to request a circuit trip would he?
Well he can get on here and book it like everyone else managed to, or is he saving his internet charges to buy new trousers afterwards?

b Do you think my mate would mind me turning up in a racing suit?

Mr Antill told me that I needed to 'register' for a ride through the sand trap. I hereby - foolishly - hand my life and livelihood to Rick Pearson.

Oh dear...

Yes, I'll be there. No questions asked. I hope that we're all alive at the end of the day...

Aaahhhh that makes me feel warm all over. Ta Jason and Linda and see you Friday night.

Woody - I can give you a floor or settee if that will help for Friday night. As for being scared - won't know until you try - my hubby keeps going on about needing a crane to pull me out!!

ooohhhh it's getting closer......

If that wasn't enough....

If all that wasn't enough with having a ride with Rick or Paul, what else is happening over the weekend at Snett?

Jason.

Sorry, I warned you, but unless Woody puts her name alongside a time by midnight tonight it's all off!

Seriously folks, looks like most of those are aboard who want to be, I'll be printing this page tomorrow morning (Friday) and that'll be final.

We'll be in garage 23, somewhere towards the bottom end of the pits. They won't let the transporter into the paddock and the garages are not heated SO WRAP UP VERY WARM. I cannot explain how cold it can get at Snett but believe me, assume -23 plus a bit of windchill and you might be safe!

C'mon over to the garage, then you will have to head up to race control to sign on before they issue you with a ticket and then allow you out onto the circuit. Assume you need to be there about 1 hour before your time.

On a far more interesting note, I will be sporting a new and somewhat flash racesuit/ crash helmet combination in a sneak preview of next years livery! But I'm not over-excited about it at all, honest!

Less than 48 hours now...

Great - thanks so much, Rick! I can't believe I said that, but (provided he doesn't beach it with me in there) I'll probably say it again tomorrow!

If only Craig didn't insist on such an early start for us!!

Back from Snett and in one piece . A smashing day - thoroughly enjoyed it! Extra special thanks to Paul and Rick for allowing the ten-tenths lot to experience the Renault Clio driving. Excellent and awesome are the only words I can use to describe it. Paul will vouch that he didn't hear a word from me in the car because I was too busy grinning ear from ear! Call me a speed junky! When can we do it again, when can we do it again, when can we do it again, when can we do it again, when can we do it again

AND I got kisses from Paul and Rick (but don't tell Woody!)
