If TC is posting here (I doubt it it wont make him any money)he has no guts.Ross Palmer and M.Ronke post under there own names so why cant he.Oh I forgot the paying public dont matter.
Back to topic. Why would you want to take these cars to China? They don't even sell them there. As for the marketing in China a business associate who lives in China(and works in the motor industrie) was shocked when I told him the V8 supertaxies were supposadly coming to China. There was no promotion what so ever.Hardly surprising that when you pay penuts you get monkey's. If TC was the great bloke some make him out to be then he would do the following. 1.Dip into his own pocket to help Bathurst( after all he called the pit area sub standard and he wanted better corporate areas) 2.Support for other catigories not just V8s (he needs to grow up and relise where the future drivers are coming from). 3.Relise there is no point taking these things O/S unless they are sold there as there no interest.(even F1 in China is struggling with ticket prices slashed) 4.Give each state at least 1 round (take them back to tassie) 5.Keep his nose out of track business and let CAMs stuff it up by themselves. I love when people start crying tall poppy syndrome, some times it is justified but IMHO in more cases than not, its just someone mistaking success for an excuse to be an arrogant pig.

One thing you can say though is that the TV thing has improved from the late night hatchet job the ATCC used to suffer. The way the obsession with street circuits is going though, a dependence on the TV coverage is increasing by the round.
Lots of changes over a long period of time can be made to sit fairly comfortably but the latest O/S thing and the loss of an Australian round to accomodate it really gets people's backs up. |

You boys leave the Swans alone or I'll show you why they call me The Grumpy1.
As for TC he is going to have a nasty fight with the new owner of PI.He is a business man with more clout than TC.I can asure you of the following he did not make the purchase because he could. He did it to make money. If TC thinks he is easy meat and will bend to his wims like others may I suggest he think again.Knowing the owner for a few years now and seeing him do business I can tell you TC is in for a rude shock. Well, TC doesnt seem to have problems taking rounds away from places. If Fox plays hardball, i can see TC picking up his bat and ball and telling us how we need to have a Street Race in London, or run a Tarmac stage in france or hell lets go ice racing as long as he can make a dollar out of it...

And you are?? I don't believe for a second that you are Tony Cochrane, because if you are you can't spell your own name!

Considering you are attempting to be someone you are not I generally ignored you anyway.
If you are who you pretend to be then tell me when you last spoke to the owner of PI? The Grumpy1 Last edited by grumpy1; 14 Apr 2004 at 02:36. |

I wonder whether he can spell the name of the owner of PI? Cameron has an 'e' in it too if you were wondering just like Cochrane

Regarding earlier posts mentioning Paul Gover's efforts, I think Gover did a good job but there would have been way moree interest if C10 had been game enough to get Peter McKay on as the token journo. Given McKay's disdain for the SuperDuperTaxis it would have been even more entertaining to have sat him alongside Mr Cochrane.
BTW, have an idea who TC is on the forums. |

McKay would have been great to have on,they could have done a retro type show and had TC stateing that he had the greatest show on earth and that he would rule supreme and leave it at that
and McKay stateing that they were old and primative and that the 2 litres were the future, in McKays corner a few old quotes from Jones and Morris stateing that they saw the 2 litres as there future and were looking forward to racing in a truelly international series and that it would open doors for them internationally etc Maybe K O rielly could chime in with his thoughts on how TC had got it wrong and explain the realitys of life to old TC and offer a few suggestions on saving face whilst looking through egg yoke |
