Geoff Brown is doing alright considering his Calder Park form. Ill be watching his improvements during the weekend, and the season. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the race against the other AU of Malcolm Niall.

I arrived back this afternoon and must say the racing was pretty good on the weekend.
Not much damage, only 2 retirements and both Tony and Browney did a great job. I did comment to Tony that maybe he needed a couple more cylinders, but he really enjoyed himself being back with us. He did a great job in the car considering he hasn't driven one since he won the Series in 2001. The new cars looked fantastic and a lot of progress was made with them over the weekend. Our car was going well until we had a front hub drama in race 2 and had to start rear of grid for race 3, but I think he enjoyed going through the field. The lap record which was held since March 2002 was knocked off which is a good start to the year. The weather was fantastic and everyone enjoyed themselves. I must say though, the Woodstock boys were out in force. You should check them out sometime, with 3 cars, a huge transporter and a bus needed to carry their crew, their dedication and professionalism in the category is excellent, well done guys. On the other end were the WA guys who brought 4 cars for their team and BRE had 2 in theirs. Although I am personally involved with the category it still amazes me each year at the growth of the category, the multiple car teams, transporters and general camaraderie shown by all of them. Well done guys, bring on Tassie |

I noticed the numbers were down, as soon as CAMS make something one of their so called Championships the numbers fall off, that must tell you something

The numbers are down because people are still building the new cars. Has nothing whatsoever to do with CAMS. And no, I do not work for CAMS. Thanks for the pics, they are great, quick someone better put out that No 1 car, he's on fire |

Nice photos! I wonder if it would have been better to use the series 2 XR front end for the Falcons, the series 1 looks like a chinless wonder with the way the spoiler rises in the middle.

Ask Walton
He had some engine issues after Race 1, so decided to pack it up and finish off the VT for Round 2. |

The VT looks a LOT better than the AU..
Do the AU Saloon cars have the same aero issues as their Supercar bretheren, or are they immune from the incredibly successful engineering expertise from the Ford Racing stable. |

Race one - Jake had a coming together with Kris Walton at the fishhook that put him out. Race two - The distributor drive gear broke. The distributor was replaced but when the engine was started it failed again. Race three - DNS |

Well i wonder if anyone can stop Bruce this year, he already seems to be the one to beat with pure pace, just that a few problems got in his way. Plus that storm from the rear of the grid is pretty impressive.
Hope you got a good view of the race Kerri. |

I think that you are underestimating the class of the opposition. Heinrich is (in my opinion) a class act, but at the end of the day (read weekend) he was beaten. |
