Basically it's excluding insuring you on the Nurburgring....

Excellent stuff. I've done a quicky search and can't find anything, but if you unearth the link I'd be very grateful if you could re-post it here

Hi Mark,

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, that's the company that gave me the quote for £180

I emailed them yesterday evening to ask about that. I'll post the reply up here when I get one.

Just had confirmation from Richard Egger that the marshals' rates are still in effect.

He's asked us to contact Susie Cattermole.

Big to CCI/Eggar Lawson!!

Okey dokey. Just a quick update on the trackday insurance cover offer:

Because I've got a fancy-pants car, it would appear that the offer isn't quite as attractive for me. The minimum cover that I can take out is the full £10k, and the excess on that is £2k. For this cover the quote works out at £132 (£69 for damage and an additional £63 for fire). I guess I need to weigh up whether I really need the fire damage.

Have to say a big thanks to Susie, though, for working hard to bring the quote down to this level.

Has anyone else approached CCI/EL?

A quick update re oulton park track day. I have got 3 cars lined up for hot laps. Wolfdirectracing Punto,, VX Nova from Aquilaf9 Racing and the GT3 Porsche that was there last year. No doubt there will be other nice cars there as well to have some fun in.

Having seen the burnt out hulk that was my friend's Ibiza after an oil line came off on a trackday, I would say you might want to seriously consider the fire cover.

well dpending if he will let me i will be using my dads almera 2.2 td thing.

good news and bad depending on how you look at it. my micra seems to have more lives than a cat as i have fixed the rather horrible water leak and so it will be out again this year....so any one want to see the awesome sight of a 1.0l g reg micra come on down
( i will have to remember this year......high apex + too quick into corner = micra nearly on roof!)

Well i have finally got the Mini on the road and looking forward to the Brands track Day in January, Will be happy to give any one a scary ride it is a 26 year old Mini 1440cc engine, race cam, stage three head, and really shifts and drinks fuel like nobody's business, just need to sort out the over heating issues but that is in hand ready for January, hopefully good ole british weather will help that a bit too.
