Well, the "new" chicane was faster than the old one, so safety concerns? Nope. The reason they did last years upgrades to the track was so they could get an upgraded FIA license.

I always hate Belgians saying "this is typical Belgium"; the only thing typical Belgium is saying that... this "problem" for instance, has happened to nearly every European F1 track, and a lot of tracks wanting to attract F1

Sorry Marcel, do not agree. The risk of going off was bigger now because off the extra speed the new corner created. Why do you think so many cars crashed towards the top of the hill?
As a marshal (observer) I know what I see.


But you are right that it happens to all tracks.

That I do not like Belgian racing that much anymore is more than correct. Is there any need to hate me for saying that?

I know full comfirmation is pending on the European rounds, but looking at the CART website, it would be nice if they'd be a bit more proactive in posting qualifying/race statistics and telemetry track maps (like they have for most of the longer-standing tracks).
