Mies7337 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
RML have only just start building the chevrolets. The cars will be ready in march. As Onyx is going to test this week with Oriola, it seems impossible to me that they will be driving RML Chevrolets. Fords seem to be the most logic option to me, but I secretly hope it to be Volvo or Alfa.

i think it could be much more likely if it was the new seat leon, ford focus or renault.

I also guess that it can be Seat Leon, Of course Seat said that they don't want to compete in the WTCC this year, but may be they have a deal with Onyx, Ford is also posibble but we will see

BTW I really hope to see Seat Leon this year on track, for me it is the most beautiful car between these new models

Don't know if this has any relevance, but I am pretty sure the article on Turkington returning to the BTCC has been altered since I read it this morning on Autosport which may of held a clue as to what Onyx are going to be running:

did say something like:

I can't remember the exact words as I read it quickly before heading out for an appointment but there was definitely a mention of Ford in it as I immediately thought of Onyx/Arena/Mike Earle.

Does anyone know the Onyx factore/workshop? Is it big enough or has the right amount of employees to develop a car to 2014 regulations and be ready sooner than Lada???

When did they start development then? I think, Arena was closed at the beginning of the year, so they may start again then.

The RML Cruzes are also not ready, for a test this week. I don't think, that Oriola might test a S2000 car or some other machinery...

it will depends also by the power that they will be able to develops and and by the drivers that onyw will have.

if they choose oriola as first driver i would like if they choose as second an expert driver

What is the "thing" about Mike Earle and Fords? Ford did not give Arena the supported they deserved back in the days.

Yes, we will see how much Ford will be able to achieve. I think that Oriola is a good choice for Onyx. Despite his not too big expierience Oriola is a really good and fast driver.
But, it could be hard for Onyx to achieve top5 even with great drivers. We all know the history of two fantastic drivers and Team AON. It's impossible to win if you didn't do early tests and have a lot of money, especially this year - Onyx will have to go against the strong teams of Citroen and Honda.

onyx has confirmed a 5 years program! i think that they wont have said this if behind them there was not a manufacture who was ready to enter officially in wtcc.

With TC1 being an evolution of S2000 it's not surprising Onyx will race Ford Focus'. Cheaper than developing a new car from scratch.

2013 ETCC driver Igor Skuz is testing Tom Chilton's Cruze WTCC in Barcelona. Could be for WTCC but also possibly ETCC.

Didn't the last S2000 Focuses get bought by Rotek, who sold them on to Asia when they cancelled their WTCC 2013 campaign?

Posted this in 2014 ETCC thread - the plan is to do ETCC

As for Ford, considering that it's a 5 year programm, maybe Onyx is trying to lure full manufacturer backing, just like did Arena in 2012? But, hey, let's wait for the confirmation of Fords first, though I believe it's just a matter of time

Yes but I assume Onyx has still the CAD drawings and knowledge of the Focus.
