No James Nash this year. Very dissapointed. I believe his place at Bamboo (if they really get TC1 Chevys) will be taken by a "money bag"...

Shame about Nash. He was fast and solid and also is a nice young man, as I found out when I got his autograph at Ford Fair two years ago.

Damn, I will miss Nash in WTCC if it turns out to be GT3 Audi. Finishing ahead of Monteiro, Huff, Coronel, Thompson, Chilton, Oriola, Nykjaer and the likes is no mean feat.
I also have concerns for Bamboo's existence at this stage. They aren't doing GP3 this season and even though they talked a while back about RML Chevy's for WTCC, it wasn't officially confirmed |

Would be a real shame to see Bamboo leave the series and it would be a big loss to see James Nash go as well, drove pretty damn well last year to finish were he did
Also don't know if its been asked as am new here (be gentle) where is Michel Nykjaer these days? he was having a great season felt bad for the guy when he lost his drive last year |

According to Alessandro Dragossei's twitter a massive comeback is expected at Le Castellet. My own guess is it has something to do with Onyx (who are likely to skip the first round (or rounds maybe) due to delays) but who knows..
Anyway it has been awfuly quiet for more than a month. With 50 days to go there is too much uncertainty. I just want to hear some confirmations |

So we still only have 14 cars in the grid. Onyx is only a maybe and 6 Cruze seem just a nice dream.
Does any of you still think the fast introducing of new rules was a good move? BTCC Audi? Last edited by Tarzaan; 21 Feb 2014 at 17:26. |

Though it has been a while since the last driver confirmation, it's too early to judge whether it was a good decision or not. Time and championship will tell us. I still think it's possible to see 2 Chevys, 2 Onyx cars (but not for the whole championship probably) an 6-7 TC2 cars. Let's wait and see

Davide Valsecchi is looking at WTCC for this year, although it would appear to be his second option after a possible IndyCar ride -

Are there going to be any TC2 entries? With less than 50 days before start of the season it doesn't look like there are going to be many.
Onyx is also a weird story, TouringCarTimes said they would test somewhere in februari, but not a single story has been published ever since. I'm sure the season will be spectacular as always, but I hope there will be a lot of cars on the grid, TC1 and TC2. |

Doesn't he ??
Look at his words For Me a couple years ago WTCC was more interesting than these days For example the battle between BMW-5 and SEAT-5 That season make me love to WTCC Last 2 years was dominated by Chevy's so it became really a little bit boring, but because of WTCC rules this series is always thrilling. To be honest races of touring cars for me are more interesting than F1. And one more question, can someone remind me the deadline of signing to WTCC ? |

WTCC was actually decently good around 2005-2007
you had big field of cars, more types of cars, no controversies with Leon TDI , you stil had some guys like Farfus a bi more agreesive then from 2008 it wend downhill fast now you barelly have 15 cars, more downforce, less weight and more power do NOT make racing more exiting, but more boring look at german DTM back in the 90s (races on youtube) see say seasons 1990-1992 and then from 94-96 when they did exactly that, changed rules with more power, less weigh, more downforce etc it did NOT produce bigger grids and more exiting racing by comparison and numbers of manufacturers drooped too, by 1996 in its last year you had exploding costs and only 3 types of cars on the grid |
