Simpson?! Really? He seemed totally in over his head this year

What’s the chances of TPRC switching to FK2 Civic’s, they’d the match the AmD side of the garage. Blundell wanted a go in one & Jake would fly in one (providing both drivers stay). Dan Kirby has said they have bigger plans for next year so in my head 2+2=FK2

I think we'll see someone else in his car next year. From a similar background...

Slightly off topic but what happened to Blundell doing the last round of the TCT/TCR championship? Doubt we will see him again, apart from as a certain J H's backer/manager

Hope so jake really announced himself this year in an average car. Would be good to see him have a car to really compete I think he would have been right up there with Rory

I think Jake really came of age this season, despite that big misjudgement at Oulton. He deserves to be in a car consistently up there

Think that was just people adding up 2 and 2 to get 5. He said he wanted to try the Honda and people probably assumed that meant doing the TCT race.

Well he's not JH's manager to start with, and given how there were virtually no sponsors in common on their cars, I doubt there's any backing either.

Jakes main sponsors this year all seemed to come via Trade Price Cars apart from his existing smaller ones

If Blundell appears again I would be very surprised. To his credit, he came, he tried. And he tried very hard. And stuck the whole season trying hard. He didn't publicly yap about the problems being the team or the car. He simply said he couldn't adjust to the car.

It would be interesting (to me) to see him in an RWD car, purely as his whole career has been RWD. So in theory an RWD NGTC car will be easier for him to drive. Although plenty drivers have told me NGTC is a beggar to get to grips with...

Another thing is it’s highly competitive atm, so getting into the top 15 at all is an achievement

Agreed, you only have to look at where experienced guys such as Collard and Morgan have been at times this season.

I see that a certain Mr Butcher is running a TCR MG6 in Italy soon... a Mickey Mouse TCR world cup as it is being billed. Yawn.

That car still isn't headed for Mr British consumer, so there'll be none of those new MG in BTCC rumours please....

Now where's me NGTC Kia, must still be on the slow boat from Korea...

I see we’re getting a top ten shoot-out in qualifying as a one off trial next season, plus 2 rounds of all three option tyres being raced. Article in MN.

Minor rule changes. Ballast up, one-off qualifying shootout, more tyre nonsense.

I think it's worth giving the quali format a go. At the end of the day if it doesn't work, it'll only have been used once rather than be stuck with it. Nice to see a bit of variety to the series

Why do any rule changes seem to be trialed at Snetterton? Wouldn't it make more sense to do it earlier in the year?

Maybe because it gives people something to look forward to over the summer break.

I just hope the increase in ballest doesn’t make it like it did a couple of seasons ago when the leading cars were mired in midfield

As far as the tyres go, less chance of rain.

If anyone has seen Aiden Moffat's Instagram stories, he's at Buntingford with his transporter.

I spotted this!

Can only be a collection/delivery to/from BMR... but which? Be rather overkill to take a massive truck to a business meeting...
