Last year it was Laurens Vanthoor, this year it's Rene Rast's turn to stuff it for the "halo" Audi. Got a little impatient trying to pass the #114 Emil Frey Jag and got tapped. Looks like a puncture and rear bodywork damage, while the Jag has stopped on track.

Was that not a position battle? Was the 114 so was for 5th overall I think.

I feel like the SRO are making a point here. We've not seen a Mercedes on screen except for the penalties being taken.

Ulrich said the Audi was hit by a Jaguar which was hit by another car before it. Maybe they were both innocent.

#57 was not one of the top-20 penalized cars, it just started at the back from the beginning.

Still, #84 is up to 14. If one of the penalized cars actually win this race, I'd like to see how SRO handle the situation.

Well caught! Didn't notice that. They keep talking about how all Mercedes were penalised but that's not the case.

Nothing will come of this but in the highlights package, the end of that first FCY, the Lambo Accelerated whilst there was a marshals still waving a yellow flag. He was passed Rast before the green was out on the posts. There may have been a green light but this is exactly why the WEC has countdown to green.
