Wonder whether Stanaway can move to Kelly Racing next year.. I think it's almost certain he won't return to Tickford and he has no possibilities it seems.
It's kind of a fairy-tale gone bad, the whole Stanaway situation. Last year in Enduros he looked like a big talent and exciting driver to have in 2018 full-time but this year he was a massive disappointment. Is it the case of lack of Supercars experience? Tickford didn't help him either with the team being a bit of a rubbish this year but I'm most disappointed with Stanaway attitude. I tend to like this guy and had hoped for him being a new future star of the sport but his 'I'm great, team is terrible' attitude won't win him neither fans support nor teams interest. |

Yikes, there's nothing left of it! That's why I think all the hoo-ha about old chassis, new chassis is overblown.
It's just a pile of tubes to attach things to, a control specification at that, it makes no different if the chassis is old or new as long as it's square and sound. PS. PACE chassis must be pretty expensive if they prefer to strip and rebuild an old one, instead of build up a brand new one, given it's the same amount of work on the assembly side of things... |

Will it be Scott McLaughlin last year in Supercars, before heading to the USA to race Nascars?

With both 888 and Tickfords handing back REC's I presume that will mean only 24 cars on the grid next year.

RECs were finalised just after the GC600.
Chances of the likes of Mr Adderton procuring a couple of them before Adelaide is pretty slim. |

Probably puts Mr Bowe’s TCM program in doubt, Mr Wall’s Porsche, Ms Angelo’s Porsche amongst other programs, plus Carrera Cup Australia itself... plus S5000 and TCR support... |

He'll have a green card by 2020 once he gets married, or the least Penske will facilitate that if he wants to come over. As much as he at the top of his game here, I'd like to see him over in NASCAR sooner rather than later so he can give it a real hot crack. Anyone want to see a inter-team car swap next year?? Joey and Scott do a car swap and compare notes?? |

Interesting move.
The series kinda needs it though. It'll be like those Dodge stockcars that kept running in the second tier NASCAR series long after the company withdrew. |

https://www.autosport.com/sup/news/1...ssive-weakness
Ford's switch to the Mustang for the 2019 Supercars season will not provide a quick fix for its former top team Tickford's "massive weaknesses", says driver Chaz Mostert. Mostert's sixth place in the championship made him the sole Tickford driver in the top 10, with 2015 series champion Mark Winterbottom languishing in 12th and leaving for Team 18, Cam Waters just 16th and highly-rated rookie Richie Stanaway 25th. Tickford must be in a bad place Richie Stanaway and Chaz Mostert both having there say and Mark Winterbottom jumping ship |
