almost we can discuss about the level of performance that the cruze could have considering that they will not make a few test before the begin of season while citroen, honda and lada will have much more experience on their cars. |

I believe that there will be six Cruzes on the grid. Hugo Valente (the first customer) is taking delivery of his car next week when it will have its shakedown.

I fall in love with this Honda! Looks very good.
I guess, Munnich may acquire 1 Chevy and Nika the other. Anyway, come on, bring us some announcements, 2 month of...ermm..nothing is getting on the nerves |

I don't mind being proven wrong like this, wow! I really didn't buy the All-Inkl rumours but they did pull it off, hat tip to them! Great to see Munnich and Morbidelli (back) in the championship.

really a great news!! the return of morbidelli gives for sure a major quality to this serie!
at this point i wonder which car will use nika team and onyx too! all the 6 chevy have been sold so if nika is still planning to enter they have can do developping another car or yet race in TC2. |

Looks like it's not just the BTCC which is attracting star names. Good signing on Morbidelli

Good news! I like the Münnich team. They seem like a very professional outfit.
Nice livery, too. Will we see all 16 cars in Marrakech? It seems like some have to wait long before getting their cars (Zengö/Norbi, Proteam/Bennani, the Chevy teams etc.), basically only a shakedown before heading to Marrakech. That circuit is difficult and hard on cars. With the second round less than a week after, I wouldn't be suprised if some of them skip round 1? Especially if construction of the remaining cars were running late in the factories. |

Morbidelli is hardly a star name.

2002 first season of ETCC under the S2000 rules: 19 cars on the grid in Magny Cours. Your picture of the first WTCC season paints a twisted picture, as the S2000 format was around for a few years already at that point. |

the S2000 was born just with the idea to develop new cars with lower costs. now all these new changes to the car has increased the cost of the car of 15/20% bringing the budget for one season to 700.000 euro/1 mln of euro!! i think that in this period was not at all the moment to make all these change specially because the wtcc surived in last years thanks to privaters. look at how many good drivers we have lost from last to this year: NASH, BASSENG, MCDOWALL, NIYKIAER, D'ASTE and even the asian drivers that i supposed had the bigger budget like OYOUNG and NG left the series. |

It's nothing new, it's history repeating. Costs rise, new regulations are implemented, costs and grids drop drastically, fields grow again, costs grow again, costs rise, repeat process. It happens in WTCC, BTCC, DTM, GT-Racing, etc. Its just how it goes, I think it's an illusion to think you can stop it.

Great to see such a quality team stay, though i'm not really satisfied with the drivers choice..
There will be TC2 entries as well, so we may predict 21-23 cars at Marrakech. Plus, Onyx perhaps joins the grid later on. And, don't forget in 2005 there were about 10 entries from the Italian championship so you can easily count them off |

I feel it's a shame to see Munnich racing in the Cruze, would have preferred him to drive a Leon in TC2 and free up the second Cruze for a competitive driver (if funding allowed it).

me too i would have prefered that the cruze of valent and borkovin were driven by rydell and menu but actually i think we must be already happy to have these drivers on the grid!

I'm rather happy that he provide money for 2 TC1 cars on the grid. Quote:
Does we have any confirmed full season TC2 entries? |
