Motorsports channel says that Hitotsuyama racing will participate in SGT (GT300 class) next year.
They have two Audi R8LMS. So one car will be for GT300, the other for GT3 class (Super Taikyu). Perhaps, it might be two car participation. If so, it means that they withdraw from Super Taikyu series. (Since there are test restrictive regulations in SGT, double entry of SGT and Super taikyu will not be accepted.) |

Duval is the main candidate to replace either Lotterer or Treluyer.

André was mentioned along with Ben in the Audi press release about the Sebring tests last week so I think it's a done deal. I think the idea of Loïc Duval at TOM'S makes sense. He wants to do WEC, he was extremely good in the Oreca 908 (lap record at Le Mans 2010, Sebring win in 2011), but so far Peugeot made no signs towards announcing him in the works outfit although he tested (along with 8 other guys) for them last month. The way to go for him is Toyota. They will go all out in WEC in 2013, he knows Oreca, and meanwhile he can do Super GT 2012 while testing the LMP car. That's a win-win deal. The only reason he should not do it would be with a Peugeot contract from 2012, but for some reason I don't feel it will happen. Also, how long will Peugeot continue in WEC ? He would be a good fit at Nismo too, but I guess at this stage in his career, WEC is a better option. Generally speaking, if WEC really takes off as it seems it will, the pool of top level drivers for Super GT will thin out. I can see Super GT becoming a kind of a feeder series for that as it is very good to learn endurance and traffic management as we've seen this year with Lotterer/Tréluyer at Le Mans. |

No news about the LFA doesn't mean it wasn't an LFA. If it was closed track test, no photos are allowed and anything Toyota wants to test there could be running. No mention of LFA, or LMP, but there was SuperGT the following days. 2012 development? Of what type of series/car? This must be something new that isn't supposed to be seen, yet. We can rule out the LMP, so the obvious choice is SGT.

Yes. Very political rules.

Motorsports channel also has the same opinion. Duval will replace Lotterer. And J. P. Oliveira will replace Treluyer. It must be a SGT test. But there is no telling whether Lexus introduces LFA. |

Don't forget Nakajima is also apart of Toyota's LMP driver list. If they only do selected rounds he might not lose his seat at TOM's, but what if Toyota do more than 4 rounds and those conflict with SGT events? Who will be his 'backup'? I am curious as to why the test at Fuji would be a closed track test, then open track with the current SGT SC430. If it were the SC430, I don't see why so secretive. So this may be a new car.

Takuto Iguchi says that he participated in the (audition?) test of team KRAFT (#35, BS) on his blog.
He says that "test was not a success, although it was not failure". It seems that he leaves team SARD (#39, MI). http://ameblo.jp/takuto-iguchi/entry-11116595385.html |

Also, if something should replace the SC430, what about the future Lexus coupe previewed by the concept LF-LC in Detroit next month ? That would mean 2013 probably, but it makes more sense marketing-wise than the LFA... |

That makes more sense to me too. Was this the 3rd or second year of the latest GT500 SC chassis? |

SGT tire test is carried out by Michelin and Bridgestone at Sepang now. Participating teams are SARD (#39), MOLA (#46), and NISMO/NISSAN(?)(#23). It seems that Quintarelli, Yanagida, Ishiura, Wakisaka (SARD?), Matsuda and Motoyama have participated. Katsumasa Chiyo and Yuhi Sekiguchi may also have participated. |

According to Japanese AUTOSPORT,
The Fuji test of KRAFT was driver audition. Kazuki Nakajima was a benchmark driver. Candidates are Takuto Iguchi, Andrea Caldarelli, Tomonobu Fujii and Richard Lyons. They were given the opportunity to drive with used tires and new tires. Lyons was the fastest with used tires. http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=38397 |
