Those new Oreca prepared cars are awesome, but will they manage 24hours? Its a big test for them, but they can do it if they stay out of the pits.

What engine tuner do Oreca use ?

I think Acemco used Elan and later Hutter ?

Anyone know the chassis numbers too ?

IMHO GT1 will be a great race. A true Battle of the big sports car gladiators.

Lots of speed, big booming engines, great stratagy from team managers & drivers to run hard, fast as possible, not hit anything, Keep everything together, last the full 24 hours AND cross the finsish line first. That is not asking too much?

No, not at all.
For my part, I will follow the race in P1 and will be fascinated by the race in GT1.

Only some rain could make the P1 fight interesting... But I don't want to be punished for blasphemy.

The waiting is almost over, then!

My trip begins on Monday, to join the "Leicester-to-Le-Mans Expedition 2007" folks. One way or another we'll all be ending up at the circuit on Tuesday evening, all being well. My first trip, can't wait!

I think Audi have been sandbagging much more than Peugeot, I'm still reluctant to believe we'll have anything other than an R10 victory. GT1 is too close to call but my support will be going to ORECA, despite fears that Corvette will win yet again. P2 and GT2 are lotteries, anyone's guess.

My last day to get my bits together ..... 8:40am tomorrow my journey starts and will arrive in heaven by 6pm Sunday .

So, who of you guys will stay home and follow RLM, video streams and the live timing? Do we get a chat thread? Will people join the IRC chat?

The N24H thread was a nice warmup, but I guess not as many people followed the race as will follow Le Mans.

I'll stock up on Friday and then make the weekend a dedicated motorsports one.
