Why the hell wasn't Whincup given a drive through for punting Perkins off the track ? The V8 Supercar officialdom in their infinite spasticity have gotten it wrong again.
If the racing this year isn't processional and boring it's too dam confusing with option tyres and compulsory pit stops turning the events as we have to call them this year (don't even get me started on that) into chook raffles rather than races. After 10 years of watching I'm seriously ready to walk away at the end of the year if things don't improve. |

I cant believe this sport, how the hell can Whincup get away with turning Perkins around??? It seems if you are 888 you absolutely cannot be touched, whether you are running parts you shouldnt be or hitting other people off the road, all is ok Roland, we will turn a blind eye.... Talk about contrived racing

Why no penalty.......
This is pathetic. A blantant hit. "B" pillar be damned, try "D" pillar.
ANY other team would have got a drive through, but not 888. Block pit lane at Winton- no worries Roland. Turn another car around-no worries Roland Obviously 888 have inherited the SBR 'get out of jail' card that SBR used when Dirty Marcos "won" the C-ship in 03. So which offical ****ing the goat has Roland got the picture of? And which Stone brother did he get it from? Soft**** officaldom. The fix is in. |

I thought it was odd that there was no penalty, but then a mate pointed out that Murphy still has a licence after all he's done, so I can't say I'm that surprised......

why would there be a penalty
the nuisance was a lap down and should have got out of the way. 48k on the friday not bad, thats double what they got at EC for a whole round O reammy dont get what you gius are crying avount with not being able to understand what is happening, maybe you need to read. its pretty clear Car 1 has done 2 pit stops, car 2 has done 1 pitstp. therefore Car 2 will stop again. would it help is we had one lap races |

Have to agree with you that he along with a few others are a mobile chicane... doesn't give you a free kick to punt them off the road though does it?? Going by the supposed rules of the sport - as peckstar implies, they are racing for position, therefore you have to pass them...

no doug the rules say a lapped car should yield. Perkins was a lap down and should have got out of the way. he didnt and he served a penalty

if they dont get out of the way, the responsibility lies with them to get out of the way
and to be fair in this incident Whincup had just passed a car and and perkins came from the other side of the road to the apex, it wasnt really a very awar sort of drive from jack |

Either way peckstar, whether he was a lap down or was racing for position, you do not just punt another car out of the way do you, unless this is nascar

he did not punt him Doug, they collided because jack drove across the front of him.
you don't just drive across in front of cars either, especially when the rules require you to yield |

Perkins was possibly about to take out the championship leader by being in the way.

Bet you'd be howling and clamoring for a drive through if Perkins had done the same thing to gods-own-anointed whincup or judas lowndes.
888 have the same "we're untouchable" arrogance that SBR displayed back in 2003. Fact remains, whincup turned Perkins arround. And was allowed to get away with it. gtho. Over rated then, over priced now. And bested by a 202! |

of course he got away with it, because he wasn't in the wrong , Perkins should have yeilded.
so learn the rules, suck it up and get use to the pain and remember 06 when HRT were untouchable. |

How does Whincup win from 9th position on the grid... Great effort, hope he goes to NASCAR in 2010, he is too good for V8 Supercar!
