Yes, But I miss Bermingrud on the list. Don’t know if it’s he or his car that isn’t ready yet?
A question mark for Isachsen. The budget isn’t there yet but he is optimistic. Let’s hope both will be at the start line at Lydden. |

Apropos: I cannot find a car not covered under the current FIA rules in the entry list yet. But please correct me, if I’m wrong. |

But it can drive: Cars not homologated with the FIA but produced in series and the applicant’s ASN.regularly on sale in the EEC through a recognised commercial network are also eligible. These models will feature on a list drawn up by the FIA. It will be up to the applicant to supply the elements necessary for proving the eligibility of a model. The application will be submitted to the FIA for approval through |

Please copy&paste: http://argent.fia.com/web/fia-public.nsf/CFCC5ABE4B254FCDC1257471003A0B88/$FILE/Art_279_VoituresAdmissibles.pdf These rules were introduced to legalise Kenneth Hansen’s Citroën C4 for the year 2006, thus before the C4 was homologated for rallying by the factory with the FIA for 2007. The current list encloses the new Saab 9-3 version used by Per Eklund, the Hyundai i30 that is due to be built by Thomas Rådström, the 2008 *koda Fabia Mk2 of Michael Jernberg and the Mazda RX-8 currently under construction by German Peter Triebe for D2 (RWD vehicles). Sorry, but no other cars mentioned in the current list, published on 23.06.2008. |

Who has a Mitsubishi Colt for int. RX?
I don’t know yet, but maybe the homologation papers of the Proton Satria 1.3 GLi (eligible for int. RX under the +4 years rule till 31.12.2011) can be used for a Mitsubishi Colt as well…? http://tentenths.com/forum/showthrea...ia#post2275612 |

Ivo Van Den Brandt will use a new Colt in RX-Cup.
The Mazda RX-8, is that the car that went to Sepp Strobl in Austria? I wonder how competitive that car can or will be in RX-Cup. |

The red RX-8 (see here: http://www.mazda-motorsport.de/rx-8_rote_zora.html) used by Triebe for a RX test in 2008 went to Austria (see here: http://www.ms-insider.com/Forum/view...4&t=181&p=1256) and Triebe announced some time ago that he would build a new one for himself. As there is talks about 300+bhp a RX-8 (with the right driver of course…) could be quite competitive I guess. However, I still wonder how much it must weight (due to the engine capacity rules for rotary engines) and how much it could weight (as the road going version is a pretty heavy beast)… BTW, this is taken from the ERC24 news 1156: “I spent a long time this winter studying different cars and I really wanted to build a Mazda RX8 but I can’t get any official clarification from the FIA regarding engine capacity so I’ve scrapped that idea now and I’m looking at suitable cars again. If we can get out and race this year it’d be great, but I want the best possible car and equipment, we learned a lot last year and I’m putting that knowledge to good use now,” said [Kevin] Tohill. |

The list of eligible rallycross vehicles has not been updated since 23-6-08, so maybe there have been some additions since. Quote:

I did know the FIA info on rotary engines, but as you say they do not make any wiser. And as the equivalency formula differs (1.0 or 1.5 or 2.0) in some countries or series I’m somewhat mixed-up anyway. And it seems that Kevin Tohill’s investigation try with FIA did not bear fruit either… |

I'm assuming you'll be able to buy them at Lydden - Murray has been quoted as saying he'll be signing copies of his book at Lydden so it'd make sense for people to be able to buy it there.
