Mr Tander may not have loads of options.. if the 8888 squad is in place til the end of 2015... and the FPR magic duo arent going anywhere anytime soon... it leaves the 2nd tier...

Volvo anyone?

Nissan? Aren't there some staffers there who he is familiar with?

Mind you, he says he wants to win races and championships...

If Nissan, Merc and Volvo can't attract the best drivers, they may as well pack up

If Nissan make the gains this year and appear on the ascendency, I could see him going there. Factory team, good resources and a global committment to winning in Oz - it might be a good move.

With 2014 off and running, and lot of drivers set into their teams, how many will be looking for a new home or other options in 2015 ?
Jamie has a one year contract, Russell Ingall, one year , dont know how many will be coming off contracts, but I presume that will be a small number.

So will the rumour mill start after Clipsal or will it fire up around Enduro Time. ?

Will V8 Supercars be looking to add another pair of Recs back on the market or will Roger Penske already have down payment and be looking to set up in one of the empty sheds at Broadmeadows?

Just maybe Ford Aust will go ahead with the FH, (Ford Detroit input to snare Roger into the Australian V8 series)

Well and truly a very silly season towards the last 1/4 of 2014

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
is GT the big mover from a driver point of view in 2015

from memory Frosty is signed, assume Chaz is. JC is signed as is Jamie and Craig

maybe some Spots in the Nissan Hornets, i guess DJR are all 1 year drivers, DR at bottle O?

Will D is safe, but is lee?, that might depend on performance.

There was a few rumors going around last year that GT was looking to move on from HRT. Word was Getting the old band back together with Rick. There was also a rumor that an old son might be heading home when his contract runs out at the end of the year. Strange how his co-driver made it there before him though.

We're talking about Mr Lowndes, right?

I wonder if Mr van Gisbergen will actually find his way into an RBRA machine if that eventuates?

Why? They will still make the Commodore or an equivalent family size replacement. It will just be made in Thailand and imported into Australia. And HSV is saying they're going to continue.

If you spent any time wandering around the pits at bathurst you would have seen RD in deep conversation with most of the drivers off contract at the end of this year worth having a talk too.

Too much uncertainty, better to find a secure pay-cheque elsewhere.

Where would that be?

Ford even more uncertain.
Erebus even more uncertain than Ford.
That leaves 4 cars at Nissan and 2 (up to 4) cars at Volvo.

Erebus isn't necessarily uncertain... whether they run the cars with Mercedes Benz badging/branding might be interesting to understand.

Presumably when a supposed 3 year deal with an engineering supplier perhaps intrinsically linked to the main brand somehow stops at the end of one season, and all technical support is started up again in-house... the understanding of the current level of love might be a little more complex...

Erebus to Ford in 2015?

Presuming any of this actually happened

Betty said the contract was up and it was always their plan to bring development in house. Nothing to do with Branding

So... there is this F1-spec engine development facility on the other side of the world, with every gadget, thingummybob and simulation product available to build, test & develop engines to within an inch of their life... yet the team chooses to build them in Yatala?

The AMG deal was reportedly supposed to be a 3 year technical services arrangement. It seems to have been reduced to a single year arrangement. At someone's instigation, whether it be AMG or Erebus or both.

So.. why did they subcontract the work to Sodemo then? And bring an alleged $700k engine development bill for what looked like a tea kettle...

Prodrive should have been able to leverage their engine team in Banbury, but the connection never seemed to get made...
