John Dagys reports here that it’s the #7 car that has been withdrawn, not the #8 car. The plan is to go back to two cars for Laguna Seca. (Mirco Schultis is back in Germany tending to family business, which is the problem.)

Don't know if this was mentioned yet or not, but Johansson will not be in the no. 63 Scuderia Corsa GTD entry, as he will be assisting Kyle Marcelli. Also, the no. 78 Starworks lineup is confirmed: Saavedra, Mayer, Popow, and Kaffer.

Small complaint here, but would it kill IMSA to release an updated entry list? Last update was 5 days ago, and there have been so many changes it's hard to keep track. Seems like the ALMS was better at keeping an updated list posted.

Silly race fans, IMSA is too busy posting tech bulletins covering endless BOP changes, LOL.

First practice is over and the 02 Ford Riley is atop the charts 0.5 seconds quicker than the 2nd place Oak racing car. Risi lead GTLM followed by the Corvettes. Aston was ahead of a couple porsches in GTD
Times today are going to be different (compared to race day) because it is a lot colder at the track than it will be on Saturday. Jeff Braun has been commenting on twitter about how setups from today won't transfer to saturday very well. |

Sports car racing fans will also enjoy expanded coverage of several IMSA-sanctioned events via FansChoice.tv, beginning with practice sessions from this weekend’s Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at Sebring (Fla.) Int’l Raceway.

DPs looked quick right away this morning and took some time for P2 cars to get to their pace; probably due to the cool temps.
It was damn nice to see a full 60 mins of a green session with 55 some odd cars and no stoppages. Let's hope this trend continues. |

Spotter Guide also updated! Lots of driver changes and a few swaps. Also new liveries (or non liveries) at Startworks, BAR-1 and livery updates for RumBum and Porsche NA with the Hertz Branding.
Note #7 and #24 have withdrawn |

However, Ruggero Melgrati was listed but did not drive the #49 Comptech car at Daytona in '92. He drove the #48 which blew up. He did indeed score a class win at Sebring with Comptech in '93. In '94 he drove the Brix Racing Spice Oldsmobile at Daytona, the debut of the "new" WSC cars. ----- Looking forward to the Continental Challenge race tomorrow at 100PM edt on imsa.com. Top 10 GS cars spread barely over 1 second: 3 Camaros, 3 Mustangs, 2 BMWs, a Nissan, and an A-M. Last edited by belt driven; 14 Mar 2014 at 05:08. Reason: addition |

Curious about this Comp. bulletin. Maybe somebody's diffuser doesn't fit like it was supposed to?
