Why would Brighty want to leave a winning team to go PMM? That would be a step in the wrong direction.

The old two year itch! SBR: 98 & 99 HRT: 01 & 02 PWR: 03 & 04 FPR: 05 & 06 Britek: 07 & 08 SBR/Britek : 09 & wait a minute!!! Maybe he classed it as a revisit and had to leave? BJR: 10 & 11 The question is who hasn't he driven for? If you include his enduro drive in 2000 for DJR, he's done the rounds at Ford. Still a few on the red side to go. He's only mid 30's, so still plenty of time |

Each of Brighty's team switches have been for a good reason, rather than change for changes sake.
98/99 - left to persue an international career. 01/02 - who stays longer than two years at HRT if you are not the golden boy?? 03/04 - jason had wanted to start his own team for a long time, and the fpr deal was the best for that, at that point in time. 05/06 - He needed to get into his Britek car for Briteks sake. 07/08 - thanks for nothing Ford, SBR customer deal best option at that point in time. 09 - didn't get the equipment to have the year he needed to have. 10/11 - I think you'll find Brighty very happy at years end with his current home. |

While Bright has jumped around a bit, some of it has been with good reason:
98/99 SBR - left to race Indy lights, perhaps wrong place at the wrong time but look where Briscoe and Power have ended up. 01/02 HRT - more of a transfer after TWR expanded to 6 cars with the PWR deal and decided it wanted a gun driver in each team. 03/04 PWR - this was in the era when Ford were offerring silly money to get Holden drivers not to mention the Britek deal, he would have been mad not to. 05/06 FPR - probably a bad move with the benefit of hindsight, Bright & FPR had some good momentum at the end of 06 and FPR carried this into 07. 07/08 Britek - the illusion and reality of running a team are often quite different. Some good performances, but in reality operation was under resourced. 09 SBR - never really appeared a happy marriage, more one of convenience for both parties. Being separate from other SBR cars in pit lane didn't help. Showing good pace by the end of the year, reckon SBR should have made a play to slot Bright into #4. 10/11 BJR - started off slowly while driver, engineer and car gelled. Showed genuine pace at Townsville last year and strengthened with debut of new car at PI. |

If captain forklifts wants to take his rec elsewhere next year, where would DJR get a second one from?

It was a 2 year lease apparently... and the new owners at DJR are said to have an option over the purchase of the REC. That's not to say Mr Schwerkolt couldnt go buy another one

Mr Bright has a rec and so does Larry, thats 3 recs that could be easily moved around. With COTF coming on board, it could be interesting. Brighty was disatisfied with Broadmeadows, and Larry, did drive some Ford products has been a General man for years. But as V8's move towards a businees model of NASCAR, FI, F3 etc anything is possible. So Charlie could do a deal with larry, sell his rec to Dick, and create Waverly Forklift Racing sponsored by MANITU. After all, Business is Businees. |

confirmed
http://www.foxsports.com.au/motor-sp...-1226072310298 will the pheonix rise again, or will he just (if DJR don't want it) provide it to Tekno for them to run ala Larry with the Kelly's to avoid the "leasing" rule? |

Charlie and Tekno already have a deal in place.
It's no co-incidence that CS has been seen regularly with the Webbs and at Tekno. Tekno will be a 2 car team using the 18 and 19 REC DJR also have absolutely no option of buying it back unless CS decided to sell it to them |
