I think that's probably it now in terms of the championship. Even if Turkington were to win race two and Sutton not score, it's very unlikely Turkington would get fifth in the reversed grid race (and Sutton no-score again) with maximum ballast. Ingram and Hill now out of it, and Josh Cook looking like he might jump up to third overall if he wins race two, which will probably be a cracker with Turkington, Ingram and Hill fighting through to the front.
I was also pleased to see Jack Goff pull off one of my favourite overtakes on Rory Butcher. Wide into Paddock Hill Bend and on the curbs, get more traction out there than the driver ahead on the tighter line, and then switch back to the inside up Hailwood Hill and go down the inside into Druids. Beautiful pass, classic Brands Hatch. |

Good riddance to Andy Neate. Didn't even watch race 1, kept an eye on timing could tell from that it would have been a procession

As far as finales and seasons of btcc go. This is the most boring and forgettable for years.

Why all of a sudden is Gilham there in a laser tools jacket at the end of every race? Maybe concentrate on his own Cupra (or poopra with the lack of development there's clearly been) project and maybe then they'd get decent results.

Well sounds like Ash wants his future in the BTCC for the foreseeable future.

I've always said that about the GP layout. It never really brings the usual exciting racing. Overtaking seems much less prevalent on that layout. For what is always built up as the best event of the year, its often the least for action.

It's been a masterclass in consistency by Sutton this year.
