The Corvette C5-R has no FIA Homologation, "only" a ACO homologation. The homologation of the 575M ends in 2010.
There is nearly no chance to see back the all-incl.com Lambos - and this fact is clear sind several month and no confirmed by the team: http://www.projectlemans.de/content/view/3687/1/ (german). Reiter will only start with one car if they find a sponsor. |

its a shame that both Autombibie Lamborghini, and Audi Sport, are not supporting the Reiter Engineering, the R-GT has proven to be one of the quikest car of the field, and has a r*great potential, Dr. Ulrich should put some money on this project too !

Stephane Ratel seemed to indicate that the 2008 calendar will be identical to the 2007 round, except that Zhuhai will not return and will be replaced by the Argentina event at the end of the year.
He also says ditching the Spa 24 Hours would be silly. |

Why would Reiter return? They've been off the pace (let's be realistic) and really the car is heavy, old, and crap to make into a racing car (in terms of aerodynamics and its 4wd). So its been on the cards.

Does anyone have good pictures, or any video, of the circuit in Argentina? From what I can tell, it is rather in the vein of the old Vila Real circuit in Portugal (a flowing, roughly 4-mile, road circuit).

The R-GT's have been quick all year? In FIA GT they have been no worse a choice of car than a DBR9. After the year they've had compared to previous seasons I'd have thought Reiter would be quite happy to return. |

What does the Interlagos circuit have to do with the new circuit being built in Argentina that FIA GT will use?

both Lambo teams have done well, victory at Zuhai, 2nd place at Bucharest, another 2nd in Germany (before the disqualification of the car n°7) with many other good performances, like Monza in practice, with the fastest time I really hope that Reiter will come again |

Well the car was more competitive (still not right on it by any means) in the right hands, largely because of the rule breaks it was given IIRC?
As it's also a cult car with a big following, people who run them won't have a problem getting some sponsorship I wouldn't have though? Ratel and co will want to keep those cars running to keep the numbers consistent. Mind you on that basis we'd also have seen at least one front running Saleen this year I suppose and look what didn't happen there! I think we'll see at least 2 Murcialagos again on that basis, whether Allinkl have dropped it or not. |

PK Carsport wants to sell their C5R (and Z06 GT3). The replacement will maybe a C6R or Saleen. Source: http://www.pitstoptv.info/pitstop/?p=3321#more-3321

If they are getting Saleens I wonder if they will be the ex-Oreca ones fore sale.

Horndawg, FIA GT is looking at the Potrero de los Funes Circuit in Argentina. I've seen a plan view, an overhead shot, and a brief history of the place.
It hosted a national level TC race in 1987, but the event was marred by a couple spectator fatalities (not sure about the driver's condition afterwards), and another incident in which the driver was seriously injured. I was just wondering if anyone had some better visuals to give a clearer picture of what the circuit is really like. |

Regarding the Saleen, it was a one-off with an old car, were we to have expected rule breaks for it? |

Jake DOES follow FIA GT, very closely? I was with him at Silverstone and Spa this year.
I suspect he was either being tongue in cheek, or has over indulged in the beer, as he is a massive Lambo fan! |

What I was trying to get at was that the S7 also has a following and SRO would've liked to have a competitive car or 2 running this year, but it didn't happen. Therefore whilst the Lambo arguably also has lot of support and people want to see them racing, it might not necessariy happen? Think we'll still see the Lambo out there though... |
