Neighbours complain when they race on GP circuit, so there is only a limited number of days it can be used. So the WTCC/FMaster are only allowed to use the GP circuit on Saturday and Sunday.

maybe they should bulldoze the track & build houses on it - maybe the neighbours will then whinge about traffic 24/7...

Lam Pak has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

amermuler and vander drift deserve gp2 next year. both drivers were great but i think vander drift has been down the road and deserves to finish the trip as champion. amermullet must have been still in a sour mood and be second will help him in the future and give jives to the piece that was started for a reason. i would like to see more asians driver in the championship for remain races.

An italian Website report that next season the "International Formula Master" could be called "GP3 International Master" and be part of the F1 Circus

That seems very unlikely since they'd have to pay more than Formula BMW or Porsche Supercup do. The drivers would lose at least 45 minutes of practice and wouldn't get that much of an increase in TV coverage.

just look around and see who you really need and who you really want. the first snippet was formula master was the fia f2 series but gp3 sounds great too. it can be a damageplan of ecclestone to destroy fia project. every now and then they get a little lost.

Congrats to Michael Ammermuller on his 1st IFM race win - only the top 4 in the Championship scored points at Brands

Yes good for him, that will help his confidence which must've been shaky after his unfortunate year in '07.

Quickly back to this IFM/GP3 link? That will surely be a major boon for the series - supporting GP's right in front of GP2 and F1 bosses and all the sponsors?

Problem is won't it be massively daft to have a GP3 that isn't actually the pukka F3 category, the recognised main feeder series since time began?

The IFM/GP3 Project would be just a step up into the fight between Mr Mosley and Mr Ecclestone

(and by the way, can one of the moderators change the title into 'International?)
Could a mod change the title BACK to Formula Master... International was dropped last year...

Kasper Andersen has left Formula Masters and Trident Racing, and has now been testing the Astromega/Team Anderlecht Superleague Formula car yesterday.

No, he was testing Superleague Formula yesterday, and should have been testing the next days. But the Team Anderlecht car went up in flames today, while another driver was in it. So that was it, testing wise..

Kasper was not satisfied with the effort of Trident, so they have negotiated a termination. Trident is a new team, and they are doing the best they can, but no reason to continue and burn up sponsorship, when the Honda F1 test is gone together with the championship.

Not to mention the deal also involved a season in GP2 next year did it not? Was that depednent on him winning FM though?

The deal was, that he ran the full Formula Masters program, and had 6-8 tests in the GP2 racer during the 2008 season. And then hopefully run the Asian GP2 series in the winter 08/09 and GP2 for Trident in 2009.

But the deal was also dependent on a championship or top position in the end result for Formula Masters. The Honda F1 testdeal was the driver, so as this not possible due to technical defect and other parameters, the deal has now been canceled with a golden parachute for Trident.
