(The "scrawy girl" clause in rool 3 is specifically applicable to the 2009 entry. It might have been applied to the Venezuelan Diva, but she's only scrawny above the belly button...decidedly not below.) Last edited by TWK; 23 Jan 2009 at 23:17. |

Correction, she is only scrawny from the shoulder out, and collar bone up.

According to Pruett, Pontiac and Lexus are similar but are at a disadvantage to the other manufacturers

The only live webcam stream I have found is
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/trg%27...aytona-pit-cam but it only points from the pits to the approach to turn 1, so not great. At least it has sound with it. |

I don't think that is correct.CGR is starting 5th on the grid and the first pontiac engine is in the back of the gainsco and they are 11th on the starting grid.

Gainsco has won races and are the 2007 DP Grand Am champions.I think that they know how to set up a DP car for Daytona.

Starting Grid
I am not a fan of the fugly DP's and NASCAR racing in a different costume, but sports car racing withdrawals and this 'warm-up' race for me has the racing blood flowing for the upcoming BEST sports car race here in the US for 2009 in less than 2 months!!
Here's the starting grid w/o times: (On a side note I must say that although I am pulling for Brumos #58 - 40th anniversary of Mark winning this race.) 1. 58 DP David Donohue Brumos Racing Porsche Riley 2. 16 DP Timo Bernhard Penske Racing Porsche Riley 3. 76 DP Ricardo Zonta Krohn Racing Ford Lola 4. 01 DP Scott Pruett Chip Ganassi Racing w/F.Sabates Lexus Riley 5. 10 DP Max Angelelli SunTrust Racing Dallara 6. 02 DP Scott Dixon Chip Ganassi Racing w/F.Sabates Lexus Riley 7. 59 DP Joao Barbosa Brumos Racing Porsche Riley 8. 55 DP Christophe Bouch Level 5 Motorsports BMW Riley 9. 99 DP Alex Gurney Gainsco/Bob Stallings Racing Pontiac Riley 10. 60 DP Oswaldo Negri Jr Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley 11. 13 DP Ricky Taylor Beyer Racing Pontiac Riley 12. 61 DP Burt Frisselle AIM Autosport Ford Riley 13. 09 DP Guy Cosmo Spirit of Daytona Racing Porsche Coyote 14. 77 DP Memo Gidley Doran Racing Dallara 15. 75 DP Tracy Krohn Krohn Racing Ford Lola 16. 45 DP Leo Hindery Jr Victory Junction-Orbit Racing BMW Riley 17. 6 DP Michael Valiante Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley 18. 2 DP Andy Wallace Childress-Howard Motorsports Pontiac Crawford 19. 22 DP Ryan Dalziel Alegra Motorsports BMW Riley 20. 70 GT Sylvain Tremblay SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 21. 67 GT Andy Lally TRG Porsche GT3 22. 14 GT Martin Ragginger Autometrics Motorsports Porsche GT3 23. 69 GT Jeff Segal SpeedSource Mazda RX-8 24. 85 GT Wolf Henzler Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsche GT3 25. 87 GT Dirk Werner Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsche GT3 26. 66 GT Spencer Pumpelly TRG Porsche GT3 27. 26 GT Randy Pobst Gotham Competition Porsche GT3 28. 86 GT Dominik Farnbach Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsche GT3 29. 65 GT Marco Holzer Riegel/Stanton/TRG Porsche GT3 30. 33 GT Sascha Maassen Wright Motorsports Porsche GT3 31. 64 GT Johannes Overbeek JLowe Racing Porsche GT3 32. 52 GT Christian Montanar Mastercar-Coast 2 Costa Racing Ferrari 430 C 33. 15 GT Boris Said Blackforest Motorsports Ford Mustang 34. 07 GT Paul Edwards Banner Racing Pontiac GXP.R 35. 89 GT Pierre Kaffer Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsche GT3 36. 30 GT Doug Peterson Racers Edge Motorsports Mazda RX-8 37. 88 GT Richard Westbrook Farnbacher Loles Motorsports Porsche GT3 38. 57 GT Robin Liddell Stevenson Motorsports Pontiac GXP.R 39. 42 GT Wayne Nonnamake Team Sahlen Corvette 40. 32 GT Jeff Westphal PR1 Motorsports Pontiac GXP.R 41. 97 GT James Gue Stevenson Motorsports Corvette 42. 35 GT Lawson Aschenba Orbit Racing Porsche GT3 43. 21 GT Diego Alessi MCM Racing Pontiac GTO.R 44. 56 GT Nathan Swartzbac Mastercar-Coast 2 Costa Racing Ferrari 430 C 45. 44 GT Ross Bentley Bullet Racing Porsche GT3 46. 68 GT Steve Miller TRG Porsche GT3 47. 40 GT Patrick Dempsey Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8 48. 63 GT Bruce Ledoux III TRG Porsche GT3 49. 31 GT Romeo Kapudija Battery Tender/MCM Racing Porsche GT3 Last edited by CarolK; 24 Jan 2009 at 15:15. |

The amount of coverage us Eurosport users get this year is shocking, much less than last year.
Well, I hope Juan Pablo can do the three-peat (and Pruett the four), but I'm not so confident this year. Those guys will drive a solid race, Scott will anchor the whole thing, JPM will deliver hot pace when needed, but I'm just not sure they have the car this year. Fingers crossed for the #01 here. |
