It is still not clear to me:
Now the two most desired driver seat in European Rallycross has been taken. Kenneth Hansen this weekend signed two young and very talented drivers for the team’s two Citroën C4’s. The Englishman Liam Doran and the Russian Timur Timerzyanov will be the driver duo in the 2011 European Championship campaign for the Swedish team. So Hansen himself won't be driving anymore? |

I believe that Kenneth will develop the DS3 in the first part of the year ready for the 2 young guns to use. Kenneth will drive certain events for development of the new car.

Excerpts from ERC24 news #1737:
Hansen himself will not contest a full championship, but will spend the first part of the year focused on the development of a new Citroën DS3 and on working with his two young drivers. […] The new DS3 will not be ready for the start of the season, Hansen currently hoping that it will be complete and ready to race for the Swedish round of the championship at Höljes in July. |

Probably a similar sort of role to that taken by Eklund with Heikkinen in the Saab's, I think it's quite intelligent to do the development away from the ERC, at least that way he can get it sorted. If Doran and the Russian are paying, Kenneth's budget will be secure so why risk a new car that isnt tested fully? The C4 is still quick enough from the newest threats, I think only Holte's Volvo has moved things on in any way, that car seems very potent.

That car was surprisingly quick from the minute in came out of the box. Could be a serious threat for Isachsen, which still seems to have an edge over the others (but I have to admit he suffered some regular failures this year). It is also strange to see a strong start for Jerberg, while his end of the season he seemed to have lost his earlier pace. The only good thing about that is that he will be there next season!

Will be interesting, I think the S40 suited Ludvig better than the Focus...

I do not know the correct English word for it but I do know that the Volvo C30, S40 and Ford Focus all share the same base (Floor). So Isachsen and Holte basically have the same car( IGMAB built and Godfrey engines)

'Automobile platform' or just 'platform'. Yep, the Ford Focus Mk2 and the Volvo S40 and C30 share the same Ford C1/Volvo P1 platform and, therefore, Isachsen, Holte and Hunsbedt etc. can share a lot of stuff. But the 2011 Focus Mk3 will use another platform, the new global C-segment platform.

But the volvo's doesn't have a Cosworth engine, right? BTW: Wasn't there some experimenting with a 2.0 litre 5 cilinder Volvo engine for Hunsbedt a couple of years ago?

There is a guy running a 5 cylinder car in Sweden I think?
As for the others, I think Isachsen not only has some areas of advantage in the car, he is also the fastest and now maybe the most clever in thinking. Before he was hotheaded and goin for gaps that werent there, Now he concentrates on the bit that matters, the start and then plays it very cool. As for Hunsbedt, I hope the car is good, but never really been that keen on him, he is a banger driver!! |

After Martin had left the scene Kenneth feared nobody more than Ludvig over the years. I think Ludvig is still one of the fastest, at least fast enough for all A finals, and hope that he has more luck in 2011 and 2012.

I have never doubted the guys speed, ever.
I just dont like the way he drives on the track, he is far too aggressive, we dont need him and Eriksson wrecking everyone every couple of weeks. Althought Anreas is far worse I will say that |

So he's doing the US rallycross not the first round at Lydden (as a test, like last year). Shame.

Bugger, thats a shame as it certainly added to the day having his car in the mix last year. At least there should be a few extra supercars on the grid as a consolation!

forgot about the Belgians I hope Coox is there with the Fabia - the howl of the turbo on that thing is worth the entrance money by itself! It's been a while since Patrick Van Mechelen has been to Lydden too, last time I saw him there I don't think he completed a heat (transmission problems).
