I think you may be on to something... maybe a similar situation to certain WTCC quali @ Macau a few years ago
There was a note that when (or if) the qualifying session goes ahead the GTC & GT2s will run together, and then PC/P1. |

Green flag! Green flag! Well, for F2000 at least. 50 more minutes until ALMS practice. Supposedly at least.

Looks like some really good planning on someone's part.
So we are delayed 2 to 2 1/2 hours? Last edited by fieldodreams79; 2 Sep 2011 at 17:45. Reason: PP Grammar |

Less than 1 minute into USF2000 practice and...
Red Flag, car in wall! Also, as of 2 Hours ago, somebody posted a picture on trackforum of workers still assembling the catch fencing! |

Just saw a very brief glimpse of USF2000s on the international stream... they're probably just testing the equipment but at least it proves that some cars have actually visited the track today

Green flag according to T&S for the 1 hour session. At least that is what T&S says it is. ESPN3 isn't coming on for 20 more minutes AFAIK.

Officials probably did visit some time ago, but many of the preparations simply can't be done all that far in advance, because it would be far too much interference with the normal operations of the city.
Also, it wouldn't surprise me if Irene set things back by a day or two. When I mentioned the light rail, I said that the tracks were being covered. That can't be done until the point at which you're planning to shut down rail service altogether for the event itself. Honestly, and especially with the first Atlantic Coast hurricane in 15 years, there are just a lot of things that are out of the hands of the sanctioning bodies at the end of the day. |

There is already a red flag according to T&S and nobody has even completed a lap yet!
The Muscle Milk car has stopped at T3 supposedly. Not sure why. |

Is anything I said there untrue?
Hey, I want every event we can get to succeed. Street circuits appear to be THE option right now. I mean, Portland and Sears Point just aren't happening (whether it's sanction fee, date, attendance concerns related to date/weather). Watkins Glen is very unlikely to happen for ALMS (ISC-owned). You guys shot down my thoughts on VIR. So, what permanent circuits are left?! Last edited by Purist; 2 Sep 2011 at 18:41. |

Is anybody on either ESPN3 or ALMS.com getting pictures? Past 2.40 ET now, or was the stream supposed to start later?

FCP, I just want the events to be successful. And yes, I'm a bit frustrated over the delays.
Don't sweat it. |
