I've only seen him having digs at the control parts. Tonight it's the power steering!

Well, I'm probably extrapolating a lot from what might have not very much to do with anything BTCC related, but I saw two tweets prior to Knockhill that gave me reason to believe Andy had plans other than MG next year.

The first was on 21st August.

Quote:
I've had some great ideas today, my inventive brain is working in overdrive! Ideas & plans at the plenty coming through. #excitingtimesahead
My first thought at reading that was that he was looking at options other than MG, just a gut feeling.

Then, two days later, he posted:

Quote:
The 2 words Coffin & Nail spring to mind!
Then on the 25th.

Quote:
It seems I spend most of my time in the pitlane with this NGTC race car. Another wasted session. #btcc
Now, like I said, I'm probably reading something from nothing, but if I were in Andy's shoes, I'd be getting pretty frustrated by now. If I had paid top dollar for a drive in the latest machinery, but was plagued by numerous problems that saw me missing sessions that rarely affected my team-mate's car, I'd be thinking I had drawn the short straw.

I just get the feeling all is not right behind the scenes, and not just in terms of on-track results...

The first two quotes I'd attribute to his day job. There's more to his Twitter than just his racing, that's his "hobby" if you like.

Granted, but a lot of companies don't take kindly to you posting on social media regarding work, even if it is ambiguous. I work for one of the UK's largest companies, and I've had to sign a disclaimer saying I will make no reference to work or colleagues on social media.

Although I guess I just broke that rule...

He's on the board though, not as if he's a normal worker like you or I.

Then he should be leading by example. Nevertheless, if Aunt Sally is saying they don't tie up, then so be it, just seemed the tweets of a frustrated man.

And how much of this comes from HIS driving!!! If he get's though a session without damage then his mechanics would have more time to set yhe car up instead of repairing it...

What are we looking like for manufactures for 2013 and what about WSR?

Last I heard they were asking Alan Gow about several points in the regulations and evaluating an NGTC BMW. Any news on how that's going?

Would be funny to see Gary Paffett in the BTCC. Considering his whining after every contact in DTM, I don't want to imagine what might happen if Jason Plato eats him for breakfast .

But seriously, I doubt that Mercedes will start a works entry in the BTCC. The series is probably not international enough for their tastes, and they can promote their through the British DTM round anyway.

Presumably buying the RAR Audis, this years Dynamics Hondas or the MG's then? It only makes sense to buy two cars of the same type surely? The other question here is - where is all this money going to come from?

I feel MG will change there driver line up for next year, be interesting to know how many extra cars they have sold in light of the publicity they have got through the BTCC programme, I fear single figure numbers. No other manufacturer will enter the BTCC in 2013 ..why would you, S2000 cars will be there in force with other unknown drivers
