Unless things change this year an officials guest pass gives " centre access" so gets the guest through Copse Tunnel. I'm not sure if you can buy that on a child's ticket it's quite a nice perk as it gives access to the diner and the area inside the circuit which is often quieter.

Like just sharing all the bods out? I am assuming it isn't like a brscc meeting where you get asked where you want to go or like a 750mc meeting where they ask who you want to Marshal with, so assuming it is somewhere in between does anyone know or is it the next in a series of surprises?
As far as I am aware the posts are allocated by the chief of each discipline. The list of post allocations is posted on the IMS website a couple weeks before the meeting itself, no doubt someone will post the link to the website on here as soon as it becomes available. Alternatively you will be told in your paperwork when your passes arrive.

BGP 2013 Camping

I just got my acceptance letter and will be attending the BGP as a marshal for the first time this year.

I know you get a guest pass, I was just wondering if the guest is allowed to sleep on the marshal campsite?

Cheers

Now that depends on the weather, last year a wetsuit was required but I can remember several years when the 'open air' was fine, particularly when we camped in the middle and helped the French celbrate Bastille Day!

Now that was sooooooooo long ago you must now have a bus pass

I remember those long ago days, sitting, eating, on a Sunday night, watching the traffic over the bridge ............ not moving!

The worst memory I have of those days was having to 'sign on' each morning. I remember watching the British Lions playing 'down under' on a tv in the caravan before having to get a 'grown up' to help me draw on the piece of paper that required my signature - bloody Calavados
Now I get a bus back to the 'outside' campsite and drive home each night.

mind you the generator was also used to power the caravan and all the pretty lights we also brought along

Does anyone have an idea when we can access the campsite?

Can we camp there on Wednesday 25th June?

Looking at the wristband wording it does say "Each marshal will receive 2 wristbands only (their bold).

That looks to me as if we'll get one wristband for us and one for our guest, no real issue for those with a permanent guest but more of an issue for those who split their passes out
