STEALTHY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Did frosty make contact with anyone?

You'd assume that since theres a different offence, he didn't, yet he recieved a bigger penalty.

This is going to be a long year...

Don't know - we haven't seen footage of either incident really - just the aftermath of the Lowndes one.

I'd assume that "unsafe" was worse than "careless" but who knows.

Could it be that they're missing the consistency of the Wollerman role already?

race about to start on ten on One.
noticed (again) the nissans seem to have a new set up that the headlights flash when the cars are in pit lane (assume its related to the pitlane limiter)

Nope, business as usual (ie nothing different to every year previous)

Have to laugh, the commentators said there was compulsory pitstops, yet no-one pitted haha

they also said it was a 14 lap race and they only did 12.

it appears the rules changed because of the conditions

If I heard correctly the commentators said it was due to the conditions and time constraints.

Apparently the switch to a wet track and therefore wet tyres, meant that the compulsory pitstop was abandoned

Some cars pitted, Mr McLaughlin's #33 car didnt get off the line on the warmup, Mr Engel had no fun somewhere, while HRT #2 lasted barely a lap!

Not sure why the coverage was focused on the 4 Nissans playing with each other, surely other battles were going on?

Sure can not introduce a 45 or minute session there without some serious rearrangements

It is a busy day and am sure there will be commercial decisions not necessarily sporting ones with the rest of the schedule

I was opposite the Kelly garage in Adelaide. They seem to have front & rear lights flashing when on the limiter - perhaps easier/cheaper to wire in to the main switch in the dash than downstream?

F1 doesnt move, everyone moves for F1.

F1's start date for quali in the morning and the race itself wont change at all, everyone else that was supposed to run tomorow will be at the mercy of that and if V8s get cancelled/shortened, V8SC can kick and scream all they want but FIA wont care. It might not seem fair but thats F1 for you.

Not that much different at a V8SC meeting for support categories.

The main game calls the tune

I'm sure the V8 team owners will console themselves by still receiving their full appearance money and not having burn up more equipment and tyres.

I'm tipping others further down the pecking order will get cancelled/shortened to make way for F1 qualifying. As everyone should, afterall it is the F1 grand prix.

Congratulations to the winner of race three, SVG blew all the superstars out of the water today with the best drive seen in a V8 for a very long time, years perhaps. 9th to first in two laps then came back again after an off.
