Ah - no. The footage clearly shows that the tyre was off the rim as the spin started - suggesting that Mr Jones getting into the back of Mr Baird must have cut the tyre, which is what appeared to cause the spin along with some assistance from Mr Jones.

Shame for Erebus for that to happen on the last lap.

So... Mr Skaife made mention of Mr W.Davison not being outwardly particularly pleased at his efforts in the last qualifying race

The wonder from some in the paddock in Sandown is whether Mr Davison has a ride at FPR in season 2014... wonder if this is indeed playing on his mind?

Standard reaction from nismo and rk. What a dumb nut move and on your team mate but not that it matters when you r the boss and it seams he gets away with it as well as continual blocking by Nissan and merc drivers, something we have not seen for some time under standard ford and Holden rivalry.

Does anyone know how many minimum laps a driver can do this weekend. Looking forward to the strategy's the team will have with the compulsory 4 pit stops. Weather looks good so should have a great race

I seem to remember a 1/3:2/3 minimum split which on 161 laps would be 54.

You dont usually find a driver falling out of a car a whole lot... Mr Murphy manage it... landing square on his posterior as he attempted to enter the car after a pitstop in the warmup

Mr Courtney laughed his head off... not sure Mr Murphy would feel the same...

FPR are really trying hard to stuff pit stops.

Let's double stack the car that is a chance behind the car that is effectively a lap down, and block the 'sister' car from getting out of the pit bay.

I didn't understand why everyone was suggesting the 5 car should just cede position.

When they rejoined he was 5 cars behind Dumbrell, so they'd recovered and the first lap pit stop had worked out for them to be competitive.

FPR shouldn't have brought them in together.

It looked like another sub-par weekend for the #4 car until it found itself at the pointy-ish end towards the back half of the race. #47 would've been up there as well had the E85 been ready.

The team didnt want to talk about it, but presumably the missing JoBri crew were off helping with #8?

I don't know what the exact ruling is on personel with shared pits, but if it were my REC, I'd be pushing for a dedicated tyre/fuel crew per car.

Not the first time the #47 concern has been involved in a shared boom pitstop fiasco.
