but being 16th and Jordan a solid 3 there isn't much point to risk damaging his finger even more

With Matt starting last, Andy only needs to outscore Matt by 11 points in race 1 to rule Matt out, and outscore Gordon by 12, which could be a touch harder.

Good pole position for Lea Wood in the JST!!
That was all a bit chaotic wasn't it! The first time this year that the stream behaved itself and all hell breaks loose. Wrathall's rejoin after going off was ridiculous. Nearly wiped out another car. |

I think its Jordan's but then who would have predicted Matt crashing in such a critical session?
Tomorrow will be wet and remember what happened on the Indy circuit in 2007? Whatever the racing will be a fitting end to the type of year the BTCC has missed since 2009 in my opinion.. |

Well, I guess it's either that or just give the trophy to Jordan now and save everyone from damaging their car in the wet tomorrow. He's already got one hand on it.

That's Árón Smith right there. http://www.touringcartimes.com/2013/...ractice-crash/ MG 1-2, that could all change in the wet, but Shedden excels in those conditions. Jake Hill though, WOW. 10th, ahead of Austin, in what seemed like a last minute deal. Those practice session were probably his first taste of the Audi! |

it also proves that Will Bratt perhaps wasn't up to the job , Hill outclasses Austin in his own team right in his first outing

One tap from behind and your race can be over. It's entirely possible that if AJ gets dealt a bad hand he could end up in a wall and struggling to make the grid for the next race. Could end up being a 3, 4 or even 5 way fight in race 3 yet (Though I very much doubt it, in reality AJ will probably have things done and dusted by the end of race 2) |

But remember five years ago when Jake was starting in Ginetta Juniors, in his first race weekend he qualified on the front row, and would have had pole were it not for a red flag losing him his fastest lap. He hadn't tested that car either. |

Heavy rain, risk of later races being cancelled, so very good for Jordan.
Clios and Juniors will certainly be fun to watch, wish I was there! |

Well, Plato dominates race 1 from Shedden. With 44 points left on offer, Jordan has lost only 5 points from his lead. Surely he'll have the title by the end of race 2...

My money is on a "Matt Neal special" on AJ in the first few laps of race 2 if he gets close enough
Nah, probably not now. Both Neal and Plato seem to have mellowed in old age. Five years ago I would've put my house on it! |

They're not using Clearways on the Indy circuit for a CLASSIC MATT NEAL move though

Rule 1 - if you are going to act like an idiot and accost another driver, don't do it in front of a TV camera.

Jordan needs just 5 points that means 10th if Plato wins

What an insane race... anything could happen and has...
Neal always finds the slowest fire marshals doesn't he... |

I am disappointed at the speed of the marshals response to the Neal incident. The standard of marshals has declined in recent years but everybody is too scared to criticise them.
The MSA and marshals clubs need to look at the training. Experienced marshals are leaving in droves and there are too many inexperienced marshals on post now, partly due to the recruitment drive in recent years. There are too few experienced marshals to pass on and guide the new marshals and the training is inadequate. |

He needs 8 if Plato wins the third race and does the fastest lap. Plato is probably more dangerous than Shedden despite Shedden starting from pole now. Andy should be able to score two or three points all going normally. It'll be fascinating either way
