Do you remember BILL SHEPHERD? I raced against Bill a few times. Those were the days when we used to loan each other bits.....that reminds me...Billy still has my 3.5 diff!

Unsure about that matey, as I never was introduced to Bob, although I of course remember him. Bill had a workshop in Hackney at the time.

The SWISH Team testing Silverstone.

Here's another from the archive. Someone sent me this years ago. It is a testing session at Silverstone and the car is being worked on by my mechanic Dave Neale and the guy with all the hair looking into the engine is the late Phil Marks, of PMED walsall. The man with his hands in his pockets is Jack Knight, sadly also no longer with us, the Marketing Director of Swish Curtain Tracks. The approaching driver with the bald spot is yours truly. My God was I really going bald at aged 19!

Well, the last time I had a conversation with Denis Welch, who also had engines done by Phil at his Walsall engine shop he told me Phil had passed away after cancer. I will endevour to clarify this and get back to you. It would be great to find I am wrong.

PLEASED TO SAY PHIL MARKS ALIVE AND WELL. Sorry about my mistake. I heard from Jeremy Welch today and he says Phil is working hard doing Gwyndaff Evans's engine. Phew! Apologies to Phil too.

MALLORY 1971

Just watched a bit of myself as a young man on Roy's great film. This would have been my first race in the Roger Williamson Anglia. If I never said it at the time......"Well done Terry!" You know, it seems like yesterday.
Once again, thanks Roy.

Gerry, it's a real pleasure. And as you say, who'd have thought we'd be seeing this stuff on a thing called computer on another thing called internet. I does seem like yesterday but it's another world.

Roy, I am attempting to locate my old adversary Terry McNally to tell him he's on Youtube. He used to live at Kirby Muxloe in Leicestershire.....anyone have any ideas? Likewise Georgie Hard.
Gerry.
