I dont doubt that, but would like to see a driver come up thru the ranks of privateer, then an enduro factory driver, then indeed as a full time gigster

To show that there is a different path from the FF/F3/F4000/Konica/Supercar stepladder that conventional wisdom seems to think is required!

Onlooker should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
But there is ,just go and ask a few of the drivers in Commodore Cup,Nations Cup GTP etc. They will all tell you that they are keen to drive a SC and think that they are heading in the right direction

They might be, but wont come to the fore unless they are in a recognised category. There is a driver from the ranks of one of the classes you mention that is running in the main race at the weekend, but he isnt highly regarded for much beyond sourcing funds to get a gig...

Mr McLean has done a load of the work on his cars himself, and knows what can be pushed and what cant be pushed... sometimes dollars get in the way of learning such things

Ive been told from a pretty reliable source that Fabian Coulthard is looking for a gig in the 24hr race at Bathurst in a GT3 Porsche or something of that nature, just purely to gain track miles round the mountain, maybe for next years endurance races who knows? Wouldnt be a silly idea.

I believe from what was said in Auto Action that he will be having discussions with LP when he gets back from the UK later this month.

That's one of the best line ups i've seen yet.
2 inclusions that i believe deserve a full time drive, Cam McLean and Greg Ritter. I would still die to see a 4 car SBR team next year with Craig Lowndes jumping aboard but can't really see it happening unfortunatally.

With the ownership of the teams going o/s maybe BTCC,F1 test driver,CART,DTM or ALM's may be the best way in!

There is a place that rents pit equipment, they posted on the PROCAR site with the sorts of things you mention True Believer. Not sure about rattle guns though, I guess its another job for Bob

Word around is that one of the current team drivers at DJR won't be there next year and will be replaced by one of this years Bathurst drivers.

My thoughts are that it is highly unlikely Murphy will go to DJR. Word is that Warren Luff will line up in the main series next year with DJR. Also they could have a new major sponsor.

Two things:

1) TKR won't sell, amalgamate, or get HMS backing

2) The said team must be getting pretty desperate if they try taking other teams' sponsors. Perhaps they have spam?
No one has picked up that there is the FPR and SBR third franchises? Shock me!

Precisely what about the FPR and SBR thrid francises?????

Are you talking about one team having to shop for a replacement and one having to aquire one to expand the team???? (in repective order)

If so then it's been well talked about (just not in this particular version of this thread)

On the money there, Lyris. Split BJR - one to SBR, one to FPR.
Makes two teams happy then aye?
