Robert Ryan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Although their appears to be no takers for the :Classic Touring; Ozboss and Stockcar catergories.I noticed that under Stockcars they are trying to get people interested in racing AUSCAR's.

The Stockcar Australia Road Series has announced a reshuffle directed at embracing the aims of the Australian Motor Racing Series. Namely, to be exciting, affordable and accessible. The Stockcar Australia Road Series will be opened up to former Auscars as well as the originally planned NASCARS (or V8 Stockcars), and will run on a revised calendar in 2006.

The former Auscar option will provide a lower budget alternative to potential competitors, and will also guarantee larger fields and more excitement.

The Stockcar Australia Road Series will join the Australian Motor Racing Series from the Adelaide International Raceway round (five), 8-9 July 2006.

For more information on being a part of the Stockcar Australia Road Series, contact Eddie Woods for AUSCAR enquiries: 03 9553 2517 or Terry Wyhoon for STOCKCAR enquiries: 03 5658 1177.

What did Wyhoon do with his AUSCAR and NASCAR?

There were a couple of NASCAR's down the hil from where live a few years ago - at the Goodyear tyre place at Ferntree Gully on Burwood Hwy - it always used to be outside until about 3 years ago. I recall when i spoke to him about the car he had no intention of ever racing it again so not sure what he did with the car.

There were also 2 others - can't recall the driver - brown NASCAR is all I can remember and also the FTG Bolts AUSCAR entry of Richard Howe.

I think they were Dick Howe's cars. Currently racing a Porsche 944 Challenge- usually in Victorian SRS but has done some APDC and VMRC rounds in the 944.Can't tell you what happened to the Nascars/Stockcars.
