Just after he was confirmed at Honda he said he was certain he would do Le Mans but would not mention the team's name yet.

According to Wurz it was up to the team to confirm him...

According to today's L'Equipe magazine the 908 will have an emirate company as big new sponsor !!!

Cool to see Zonta get the nod. Been a while since his Mercedes GT1 days.

From the looks on the faces I would say they are none to pleased with the openness of the ALMS paddock!

From what I have just read on DSC it sounds like the car stopped out on track during the 2nd session today. According to team spokesman the problem was oil pressure related. There is also a comment from Nic Minassian who said that the car appeared to be behaving on the bumps pretty well.

Evil Fuzzy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I was just wondering how many chassis peugeot has built and if the car they're running at Sebring is a new one. I was at the Brussels motor show on saturday and they had a 908 on display. I'm quite sure it was a real race car (without an engine, of course) and not just some mock-up. It could have been last years test car dressed up as the no.8 LMS entry though.
Somewhat related, does anyone know why Peugeot is only running one car at Sebring? Somehow it makes more sense to me taking two cars to Sebring, than having one sitting at a motor show.

Its just a testing session . I expect "if" they enter the race , the 2nd chassis will show its beak . It would be stupid not too , imo .

I would also have thought that a 2nd car at the test would double the info they need .

Immediate feed back to the factory for set up changes to the second car as the first car is on the track. Sebring is like no other track the Pug has run in the past year. Many parts of Sebring are OLD WW II concrete and other parts are new high grip asphalt. Not like the European circuits.

Shipping costs IMO have nothing to do with a company like Peugeot. I would bet the Peugeot rented their own cargo plane for the winter test.

I'd guess there's some merit to the decision, being that Audi are only testing one car as well...

Just looking at lap times , so far .

Audi has done a 1:43:821
Pug has done a 1:43:974 .

I appreciate its early days and its only a test but , considering that Audi has been there with the R10 twice before (at least) , thats not a bad first showing from Pug . Hopefully it bodes well for a cracking race .

Happy days !!!

I agree that the pace of Peugeot is very impressive, but the circuit already broke the car (oil leak)

Few parts of the track are concrete nowadays, mostly its asphalt.

What weights are the R10 and 908 running at? Are they both running the same weight? ALMS is 925 kg and LMS/Le Mans is 900 kg.
