Similar to the WEC race, I feel like the FCYs, which are meant to have less effect on the race, have actually had a bigger effect than a SC would.

Goetz 3rd Where Vanthoor and Rast are I don't know ... -- So that's 57, 60, 29 and a Ferrari (40?) off and out |

Appalling job by MotorsTV handling their commercial breaks - they had to know replays were coming yet they still went to break, only to come back in the middle of the replay. Pathetic.

Bentley long pit stop doesn't matter because the time was absorbed by the FCY. Even if they'd have let the car go perfectly it still lost half a lap.
Really, Bentley lost 2nd bexause they potted due to a downpour and the cars that risked accidents jumped them when other cars caused a FCY. |

#86 drive-through for unsafe release. #28 3rd, #8 4th when it all shakes out.

A FCY shouldn't mean you gain a minute and some positions. That's more of a shakeup than a safety car would've caused, and the whole point in FCY was to stop messing with the races as much. This was made worse by the length of the pit lane here. BMW actually got caught out a couple of times by it too a few hours ago and that wasn't fair on them either. |

Maybe pit road should be closed during FCYs except for emergency service or slow zones used, even if it takes up whole timing and scoring sectors.
Are you listening, ACO? Not even Ratel's organization can seem to get that right. |

Looks like it'll be #99, #88, #28 for the podium.
A faultless race from ROWE which should be rewarded with victory. A remarkable recovery drive from WRT, that could yet have been a bit better. AKKA .... yeah. |

ROWE completely deserve this. Nobody else was even close. Bentley got too many penalties, Audi had too many issues. Mercedes are lucky they are even allowed to race. Nobody apart from ROWE had a clean race.

Last lap battle between the Audi and Mercedes was decided by a big gaggle of Mercedes sorting themselves into a photo finish. That's a bit poor.
