Want a team title? Maybe a little church financing? It worked in Grand Am. Nothing like a boost from the divine.

I was just being hypothetical/hopeful that we'd see 2 cars full of factory drivers. We all know it ain't happening though.

He is, but his contract is up at the end of the year and as i understand it he and 2 other's whose contract is up at the end of this year also will not be renewed for 2010.

I guess this confirms Van Overbeek has gone to the "other" side.

Yeah, but isn't he going to run the 24 Hours of Daytona with an all Flying Lizard, TRG-run team? But other than going to Extreme Speed, what are the likely options? Act as a third driver for the team? Run in a GTC car? Combining the Lizard's announced line-ups with the Extreme Speed rumor it would not be unfathomable to see the Excellence magazine contributor in a Prancing Horse.

That's unfortunate for Sascha. I still think he would be a worthwhile third driver with Cytosport because he did so much of the development of the RS Spyder. Of course, Bernhard and Dumas were quite the pair in that car. I'd like to see Cytosport add a #7 Spyder and have Bernhard and Dumas drive it. Dream world is very fun to live in sometimes.

Just got round to watching the Motors TV 2009 ALMS season review & it ended with the Motors TV anchor man saying "join us again in 2010 for more ALMS...".

should we put any weight behind this statement or is it akin to this year's "all ALMS races live & in full with Radio Le Mans commentary"?

Well, does that rear bodywork ruling apply to all LMPs, or just LMP1s (while the Porsche is an LMP2)?

Highcroft is going to have some big news on Monday morning - a 2nd car perhaps? Maybe driver line-ups too?

I'm going to go with Highcroft Pug 908 for Sebring, Le Mans and Petit and the Acura for all the other ALMS events.

right, but for the ALMS season I doubt those rules will be in place, and Highcroft will be running the full ALMS schedule so unless there is somebody bringing money for the 2nd car I think they will stick with pro drivers. Of course if they were to go to LeMans there would have to be some adjustments....
