They didn't have one this year that's why, last year they had 1 or 2.

Interestingly enough, my son, recently introduced to endurance racing and now a huge fan, thought it so bad he wrote an application yesterday that helps things out a bit for fans. It's quite flexible, and offers the data up in many ways.

http://www.lemanstiming.com

Notes from my son: Don't hit refresh, it will automatically reload any updates from ACO every 60 seconds. It should work in most browsers, but it works best in Firefox and Chrome. Internet Explorer is slow, not recommended. Any bug fixes will be added to this thread.
Update: All noticeable bugs have been fixed.

LOL, you don't want to watch the race anymore, for a rule they've used EVERY YEAR? Come on, how about you add a little more drama to a non-event? How many times have we seen in ALMS under their old safety car rules having a GT2 car gain a 1 lap lead over everyone else because of a safety car? But oh no, the Audi lost 50 seconds and IT'S A FARCE!

Rules and enforcement are determining the race? No, the yellow flag caused by an accident is determining the race.

Next you'll tell me the ACO told Nigel Mansell to toss his car off the road just to screw ze Germans.

The problem with Code 60 is, that you never really have a clean track in case the intervention vehicles or crews must go on the actual racing surface to do their work... but in general, yes, it's a good idea.

Any chance he could change the colours of the text of the classes to there proper colours? ie Red for P1, Blue for P2, Green for GT1, Orange for GT2.

Would make it easier to identify the classes apart from the current colours chosen.

I was just venting! I know, it is a rule, and sometimes it helps or hurts people, and it is all part of the RACE. No more stupid posts from me . I am just really bummed to see the race at the front unfold the way it has...

Unrelated to safety car...how about the fuel efficiency of the Ferrari.

Not sure how after a few minutes of racing in a 24 hour race, they can manage to get a safety car in amongst the leading cars! The leading group was still within a few - maybe 10? - seconds of each other.

It's called coincidence, the accident happened and the leaders were going past where one of the safety car was, besides, they had some GTs stuck between them because they were no longer allowed to pass under yellow.

Those were the colors he first had, but they were hard to read. He'll change it back. All comments are welcome.

I just find it hard to tell apart the 2 reds for the prototype classes and the Blue and black of the GT's with such small text that's all.

at least that's what I'm understanding from what dindo just told Eurosport where he said "probably an inexperienced driver, you don't have to drive 15km/h in safety car mode"
From the on board camera on Audi No8, the safety car came out right in front of the Spyker as the Audis were about to lap it. They all had to brake hard to avoid passing the safety car. Didn't notice a car slowing the safety car down.

Apparently pitting under the SC is a bad idea with this new rules. Oreca did it and they lost around 15 sec compared to the factory Peugeots that pitted under green.

Because your car is held at pit exit until the next of the 3 safety car trains appears, it is very difficult to pit under yellow without losing substantial amounts of time. Ask Nicolas Lapierre...

When you pit under safety car, you have to wait and rejoin behind the next safety car. There are three, about 2 minutes apart, so you effectively lose a minute by pitting under yellow. It's actually better to do your stop under green!

Just sort by any column, like Pos, that will fix the jumble. (You can sort by any of the columns.)

He's working on that bug now.
