That's true enough. I had to set me ferret free and replace me flat cap wi' a deerstalker when I moved from Owdham.

Excuse me you lot, a drove just under 800 miles across Europe yesterday and expected a bit of entertainment on here when I stopped for night- there is no point in switching on French telly!.......

Do try harder, please.

MAX'S RANT OF THE DAY!

WHY...........

Does the MSA send me a boring glossy magazine 3 times per year, then preview all the salient information in an expensive on-line mag format every month?

Stop the glossy stuff, send me a link to a plain old pdf and lop a fiver off my licence fee. There's nothing interesting in the quarterly recycling-filler anyway, cut it out and lop another fiver off. Now THAT'S a proper service to your membership!

Don't be daft Max. The MSA and saving money do not go together. Why else would we have endless legislation re lifing of suits, harnesses, helmets, gloves and underwear (for god's sake), seats, etc. regardless of the amount of use they have had or their condition.

Spending money on useless glossy mags is just another example of their wastage of my money.

I'm not missing them one bit. Thought the forecast for UK over weekend was looking up? It was warm last eve at Toulouse (or TOO-LOOSE as Tomtom calls it), but was miserable driving down to the med this morning. Then as crossed border into Spain sun came out and temp went to 24, just as if someone had thrown a switch.

Brasserie brekkie on ferry yesterday- double sosses, pudding, scrambled plus bubble and squeak. This morning, baguette and Nutella! Just blagged our way into the local 'trade only' cash and carry for water and soft drinks. Came out with Leffe Brune.

How much does it cost to have an online subscription to a mag rather than paper version? I had a free trial for Race Car Engineering online and it was the same as paper copy, so for some mags that get chucked quickly seems a useful alternative. The local car club give members option of printed 'Mag' or online version. Certainly good for keeping costs down in such instances.

BTW my van is parked in front of garages at F1 'Circuit de Catalunya' still proudly displaying its Thruxton Paddock pass from Easter. Haven't seen any others!

Now now, stop scaremongering. WHAT lifing of suits, helmets, gloves and underwear??? There is none, I am destined to spend the rest of my life in poverty now you've all bought your heavily discounted race clothing which will outlast most of us "Historic" racers

I will be back by then but would like a weekend not driving anywhere and not staring at motor cars!

Al, We are supporting a UK organiser, at least. And I go where the car goes, not that I'm complaining.......

Gordon, the weather suits me fine and am enjoying it, thanks. Already some sunburned Brits in the paddock!
