Given the boot, or couldn't find the required funds, or we are all just speculating and have no real idea?

he was listed as an International Motorsport ST driver.. so i thought it must've been a done deal.
it will be very interesting to see how quick Jonny is in ST. my guess would be bloody quick! |

Unfortunately there are lots of "done" deals in NZ motorsport that fall apart.
Yes, Reid will be quick. |

Good news about Jonny, (bit of a fan).
I picked it ages ago so I'm happy something I said came true . |

That is good news about Mr. Reid, i'm a fan too
And looks like the V8CC is slowly shaping up now as per Icarus_NZ post Can anyone even see the "NZV8 championship (BNT's)" even running at the end of this year? If they do they might have 3 or 4 cars but that'll be it. Looks to me that the fence has been fully jumped and the grass is growing mean and green on the ST side |

Wonder who will replace Cam McConville - he has tweeted this today (@camscorner)
"Have decided to pull out of NZ SuperTourers to focus on everything here in OZ I'm sure the series will be a cracker, will watch on tele #fb" |

ooh thats a bummer, he is still one of my favourite drivers to come out of Oz. Hope this doesn't knock the series around too much. Does this mean he has picked up a drive in either V8SCA or GT3? |

Was Scott McLaughlin's SuperCheap money conditional on Cam being the other driver?

Personally, I wouldn't have thought so. He had SC backing for his NZV8 last year.

Since Touring Car classes tend to be quite large they tend to fit a certain format, i.e. modified but within a fairly strict set of rules (not over the top like the old Super GT's which was pretty much unlimited really, wasn't it?) My favourite (as I've said many times) was Owen Evans in his Porsche Le Mans - 300+ km/h down the back straight of Pukekohe! But that was definitely NOT a Touring Car... |

Skylines, Sierras, M3s, XJS, Mustang, Camaro, Corolla, Supra, etc etc etc
All 2 doors with four seats, or 2+2. Just like a 911 |
