Wow that is a major score! Still love the fact that you have these parts in your house!

That is really cool! Nothing better than bringing home a new parts car. (except maybe finding a new project car.)

Glad to hear and see that you have been able to source additional parts. That was a find and a half! I can only imagine how agonizing your search must be. I have been trying to source some valve-covers for my TAG turbo motor for years now. What you have achieved is monumental. Please continue to keep us abreast of any news. |

Thanks for sharing the photos Jim. Just from reading on here about how you acquired the car, and seeing the photos as it comes along, I feel personally more involved in this project than I ever did from dropping $70 on project Brabham

I think I'm in a very lucky situation, they only built six racers, the first tub was for crash tests... They built parts and spares for six+ cars. But at this point in history the other five cars all are essentially complete... So rather than paying top dollar for ultra rare parts, it turns out that I'm the only person in the world who wants their parts.... They actually contacted me.... |

Are you at liberty to disclose the identity of "they?"
I know factories sometimes go out of their way to ensure special cars remain in operable condition. McLaren comes to mind with their devotion to the F1 road and race cars. I doubt Cadillac/GM is that interested in keeping their LMP's running, but I don't think they're completely opposed either. |

I'm afraid that there is nothing mysterious about this.....There is a guy in Mass who bought up all the Wayne Taylor 2001-2002 Caddy spares...And Fran at Race Car Replicas, he had purchased this body several years ago to make fiberglass molds for a track car he builds... That said, when the time comes to do some historic racing, I had planned on contacting GM...it couldn't hurt. They did spend hundreds of millions to put Caddys on the race track........I would charge much less |

Wish the car wasn't living in an office in California, would love to see it on track at The Mitty at Road Atlanta. But glad to see others like the Caddy as well, always loved to upgrade it and try to beat the newer LMPs in Forza. Good LMP lineup next weekend with an R8, 2 RS Spyders, 2 Lola B2K/40s, 2 Oreca FLM09 (just to make it feel more ALMSy); there's been a Pescarolo the last few years too but don't see it on the list this year.

Approximately one year ago I found this in Australia... Since then I think I have made good progress saving this car... I would love to see her on track again as well...and I'm working on it, but right now I'm working full time, 10-12 hour days geting ready to retire in Sept.....This project will take time. I think you're making great progress and think all of us here would gladly give up a room for a great toy that makes lots of a great noise.

Hi guys, I have just returned from another successful cross country Caddy parts trip, returning with most of a 2000 rear end. I do have photos, but since retirement I have moved to an iPad, and can't figure out how to add photos, any ideas?
